Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 410

“Can I kiss you?” Theodore asked again, his voice low and earnest.

Emilia’s heart raced wildly.

His hand was still cupping her cheek, his palm radiating heat, and she could feel the warmth of his breath brushing against her skin.

She lifted her gaze, meeting his eyes.

“Yes,” she whispered.

Her answer had barely left her lips before his mouth found hers.

His breath mingled with hers, and for a moment, the world narrowed to the sound of two hearts beating in sync.

That was the scene Tyler stumbled upon as he arrived—the shock of it stopping him cold.

There she was, sitting in the passenger seat, Theodore leaning over her, lost in a kiss that said more than words ever could.

Her delicate, pale hand rested gently on his broad shoulder, the contrast between her slender arm and Theodore’s tall frame strikingly clear.

Rage flashed in Tyler’s eyes.

But before he could even make it out of his car, someone grabbed him from behind.

Theodore’s men.

They didn’t hesitate; they hauled Tyler away, keeping him from interfering.

The Bentley pulled away, disappearing into the night.

Inside the car, Theodore finally released Emilia.

She felt flustered, her hand still on his shoulder, forehead pressed against his chest as she tried to catch her breath.

Theodore chuckled softly, the vibration in his chest making her cheeks burn even hotter.

Sensing her embarrassment, he gently smoothed her hair, giving her back a reassuring pat.

“Emilia, I really like you,” he murmured, his voice rough with emotion.

That kiss by the gates of Glenn Manor had been nothing but a fleeting brush, a mere tease. But this—this was their first real kiss.

Even so, Theodore tried to restrain himself, afraid of overwhelming her.

In that moment, all his doubts vanished. Emilia’s consent hadn’t been a ploy to spite Tyler; she truly wanted this—wanted him. The certainty made his heart soar.

If there were a progress bar for relationships, he’d have dragged it straight to “married” right then and there.

But he forced himself to slow down, to savor this. After all, they were officially together now.
