Online, the chatter was endless. Everyone was dissecting the details.
“You know, it makes sense—if Tyler actually let her in, why are his and Emilia’s wedding photos still hanging up?”
“Exactly. Tyler may have a reputation for being a jerk, but he wouldn’t want anyone snooping around his private life.”
“Plus, the master bedroom’s a mess—clearly not cleaned up, definitely not staged for guests.”
“So Vivienne must have snuck in on her own? Did she intentionally stream from Emilia’s old bedroom? That’s just gross.”
…
As the debate raged on, someone posted footage of Secretary Jensen breaking down the door.
That was all the proof anyone needed.
Secretary Jensen obviously had the security code for the house. Even if he didn’t before, he definitely does now. There’s no way he’d do something like that without Tyler’s direct orders.
If he had to break the door down, it meant someone inside was blocking it.
“What on earth is going on? Can anyone explain this?”
But no one could. The comment section was a mess.
…
Meanwhile.
The cars sped through the city.
Up ahead, a Bentley carried Emilia and Theodore. Behind them, Owen followed in a Porsche.
Emilia and Theodore sat in the backseat. She fiddled with the ring on her middle finger, then touched the heart-shaped pendant resting against her chest.
A soft smile played at her lips.
“Tired?” Theodore asked, his eyes warm. He took Emilia’s left hand in his, gently squeezing each finger before lacing their hands together, holding on like he’d never let go.
The past few days had been exhausting for Emilia—sorting things out for Bella, planning the second product launch, and now dealing with today’s unexpected drama. It had all taken its toll.
“A little,” Emilia admitted quietly.
No sooner had she spoken than Theodore’s large hand cupped the back of her head, guiding her gently to rest against his shoulder.
At first, she stiffened, a little unsure. But he just softly patted her arm, soothing her like a parent calming a child before bed.
