Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 462

Emilia glanced up, watching as the swarm of drones gradually formed a massive glowing ring in the night sky.

Beneath that ring, more drones flickered on, their tiny lights carefully arranging themselves into the outline of a woman’s smiling profile—soft, delicate, and instantly captivating.

Then came the sharp crackle of fireworks.

Brilliant bursts of white and blue erupted from the edges of the drone ring, cascading like shimmering tassels and draping the woman’s face in radiant veils of light. It looked, for all the world, as though she wore a bridal veil—stunning, ethereal, impossible to look away from.

Streaks of color launched skyward from the ground, each one exploding in a riot of blossoms that framed the veiled woman at the center of it all. The thunderous roar echoed across Alden City, and from every corner of the city, more and more fireworks soared into the sky, painting the night with dazzling color.

No matter where you looked, as long as you tilted your head back, the spectacle was there: fireworks blooming overhead, and at the heart of it, the ever-shifting patterns crafted by hundreds of drones—mesmerizing, dreamlike, almost surreal.

It was the most extravagant drone and fireworks show the city had ever seen—far grander than the one at Tyler Erickson’s wedding, which people still talked about years later.

Tonight, the entire sky over Alden City was alive with color.

All across town, people stopped in their tracks, gazing up in awe, their phones out to capture the moment and share it with the world.

Christian had just turned his car onto the main road when he caught sight of the fireworks in the distance. Instinctively, he glanced toward the rooftop garden above.

His phone buzzed.

*Interested in talking business?*

It was a message from George Glenn.

Christian didn’t reply right away.

*My brother asked me to reach out. Don’t worry—it’s all above board! Our families have a lot in common, we could work together really well.*

*He said the Donovan family has our support.*
