From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 373

“My Olivia turned out so beautiful.”

Olivia Bennett felt a tug at her heart, as if an invisible thread had tightened around it. She took a steadying breath and managed a small, polite smile at her mother.

The corners of her mouth curled up, but the smile was more forced than genuine.

Beatty’s eyes flickered with emotion. She tried to smile back, her gaze drifting across Ethan Carter and Damian Franklin before landing again on Olivia. “Must’ve given you all quite a scare yesterday, huh?”

“Not really,” Olivia quickly shook her head.

Damian leaned forward, his tone gentle, “Did you remember everything yesterday?”

“More or less,” Beatty explained. “When I was looking at those old family photos, so many memories just came rushing back. There was a lot to process, and maybe because I haven’t been well, it just overwhelmed me and I fainted.”

She turned to Damian, her eyes full of affection. “And I know everything that’s happened these past two years. Thank you for everything.”

Her gaze softened with concern.

She knew how hard Damian had worked all these years—not just building his career, but also taking care of her. And after she woke up, he’d been by her side, helping her through recovery. She didn’t need to ask to know how tough it must’ve been.

Damian shook his head. “As long as you’re okay, that’s all that matters.”

He couldn’t take his eyes off Beatty.

The two exchanged a look that said everything words couldn’t.

Suddenly, Olivia piped up, “Oh! I brought breakfast, Mom. You should eat something first.”

Beatty nodded, “Let me wash up first.”

With Olivia’s help, Beatty freshened up in the bathroom.

By the time they returned, Ethan had already set the breakfast out on the table.

There was a bowl of oatmeal—creamy, warm, and just the way Beatty liked it.

Ethan scooped a bowl and handed it to Olivia.

“I got it,” Olivia said softly, taking the bowl and stirring the oatmeal gently with a spoon. She scooped up a small amount and brought it to Beatty’s lips.

Beatty hesitated, emotion welling up inside her all over again. She paused, then opened her mouth for the spoonful.

The oatmeal went down with a swallow, but Beatty couldn’t hold back her feelings—a single tear slipped down her cheek.

Olivia’s hand stilled midair, her grip on the spoon tightening.

Beatty quickly wiped her face and forced a smile for Olivia. “Oatmeal always tastes better when my Olivia feeds it to me.”
