Josie thought of something. In her previous life, a minor accident occurred during this event. Lonnard Smith, the eminent medical authority, suddenly suffered an acute cerebral infarction.

“What are you thinking about?” Sean raised his hand, flicked her nose, and asked, “Are you going?”

“Yes.” Josie regained her composure and asked, “Is Delilah going as well?”

Sean shook his head and said, “I don’t know, maybe she’s not. She’s never been interested in such events and thinks they’re just a bunch of well–fed people wasting time and resources.”

“Then think of a way to persuade her to go,” Josie tugged at Sean’s sleeve and said.

Tve heard that Mr. Smith attends every year and would like Delilah to introduce me to him. I’m counting on you, Sean,‘ she continued.

Her big, sparkling eyes blinked at him, and her tone rose as if she were acting cute. Sean felt as if someone had lightly tapped his chest–ticklish, making it hard to resist.

He instinctively raised his hand, rubbed his chest, and said, “Mm, I’ll try my best.”

“Thank you, Sean!” Josie waved to him, then turned and ran toward the cafeteria

Sean wanted to follow her, but after a brief pause, he decided not to, fearing that he might not want to leave if be stayed any longer.

The little girl is currently not inclined to pursue a romantic relationship, and I can’t hold her back, he thought

Josie grabbed a quick bite at the cafeteria. When she returned to her dormitory, she rummaged and took out

her silver needles.

After proper disinfection, she placed them in a bag. She then searched for a substantial amount of knowledge on acupuncture emergency treatment for stroke patients.

In her previous life, she had no idea if Delilah was present at that time, but this time, she wanted to try. It’s a human life! she thought

Early the following morning, Claire arrived at the dormitory, carrying a bag filled with clothes.

“Time to get up, sleepyhead, Claire patted Josie and said. She then pulled open the curtains.

Josie had stayed up late last night and was feeling very drowsy. “Claire, what brings you here?” she asked.

“Sean said you’re going with him to the seminar at the medical center. My mom asked me to come over and bring you a set of clothes, Claire said.

Josie suddenly became alert and sat up abruptly. “Has Delialh agreed to go?”

“Yes. Claire replied. She walked back and glanced at her with a smile, saying, “You have no idea how Sean spent the entire night trying to persuade my mom yesterday. It was the first time I’d seen him like that; it was hilarious.

“He totally ruined his image. It was so funny.”

Josie could not imagine how Sean pestered Delilah, begging her to attend the event, but after hearing Claire say this, for no reason, an image flashed through her mind.

She inexplicably shivered. ‘What would it look like if someone as aloof as Sean were clinging to someone and acting cute she wondered, suddenly feeling a bit curious.

She rubbed her face and sat up. “Claire, what time does the event start? I forgot to ask yesterday,” she said.

“It’s ten o’clock. Get up quickly, and you can still have your breakfast,” Claire replied and took the clothes out of the bag

“It’s last–minute, so I purchased these clothes from the store on short notice, selecting them according to your measurements. Please get up and try them on, they should fit you,” Claire said.

The clothing was relatively formal and sufficiently understated, which left Josie very satisfied. “Thank you, Claire. I appreciate your effort. I will transfer the payment to you shortly.”

“Alright” Claire didn’t bother to reject.

After packing up, the two went downstairs. Sean was leaning against the car door, waiting.
