This wasn’t just some regular ant; it looked like the kind you’d find in a tropical rainforest.
“Storage space… is really something,” Caroline finally muttered.
When she opened the description tab and saw what it produced, she raised an eyebrow. Nice!
Big bold letters read: Rheumatism Plaster.
Perfect for the freezing weather lately–lots of older folks suffered from joint pain.
And this plaster was exactly what they needed.
It could make ten patches a day, and according to the description, just three were enough to completely cure it!
Three might not sound like much, but if the storage space said it worked, then it definitely worked!
Yesterday, Jasper had already collected ten of them. Caroline tapped “Collect” for today’s batch, feeling satisfied as she exited the storage space.
She didn’t bother checking the other items yet. Jasper could handle keeping everything organized.
After the crazy, intense night she’d had, Caroline was so exhausted her eyelids felt heavy.
Stepping out of the storage space, she saw Jet was back to normal, except the fur on one side was messy, like something had smacked him.
Then she noticed Raven standing next to him with a grumpy face, staring at Jet. Caroline pretty much figured it out–Jet’s stupid, lovesick staring must have been too much for Raven to handle!
Yep, good job, Raven!
Caroline only slept for six hours before waking up.
After using the spring water to adjust her body, she needed way less sleep than before.
She could recover her energy fast.
When she woke up, it was just after 1 p.m. Francis hadn’t knocked on her door yet, so it

probably wasn’t time for the mission.
Taking advantage of the break, she decided to do something rare–cook for herself.

She took out the alfalfa flowers at home, washed them clean, sprinkled a bit of cornmeal and salt, then steamed them.
As soon as they were done, a light, sweet smell filled the room.
Once they cooled, she picked some up with her fork and took a bite. Delicious!
Then she pulled out a bowl of duck and mushroom soup from her storage space. The combo was amazing.
Raven and Jet had somehow sat up beside her, clearly hinting, “Human, share some!”
Caroline laughed and gave each of them a small portion.
Since there was a little salt in it, she didn’t dare give them too much.
Jet looked like he was in heaven. After finishing, he flapped his wings and chirped, “So good! Human, more!”
Raven, on the other hand, looked less and less happy with every bite.
If he weren’t worried about Caroline having to clean up after him, he’d have spit it out already!
Though when he first took the bite, he’d swallowed it without a second thought.
After their simple meal, Caroline had just set down her utensils when Francis’s voice came through the intercom system from the 64th floor. “Caroline, you ready? Once you are, we’ll head out for the mission!”
Caroline replied, packed up a few things, and got ready to leave.
Jet followed her, his little eyes darting with excitement. “Human, Silver’s going too, right? Can I tag along? I promise I won’t say a word!”
Caroline figured Jet’s wings were mostly healed. But if Jet left, who would watch the apartment?
Before she could answer, Francis seemed to read her mind. “By the way, Caroline, Tyler, don’t worry about your place. Since you’re helping out the army, we’ll make sure your home’s safe. I’ll send two soldiers to guard the 64th floor. You’ll be fully protected!”
