Freya started packing her bags as soon as she got home.
When Liam returned, his clothes were wrinkled, and he looked utterly exhausted.

Seeing Freya almost done with her suitcase, he stepped over with a dark expression, grabbing her hand. “What are you doing?”
Freya pushed him away. “Don’t get in the way.”
Liam struggled to suppress his anger. “You’re still throwing a tantrum at your age? Freya, I’ve really spoiled you way too much these years!”
Hearing that, Freya paused slightly in packing.
Yeah, spoiling me while knocking up another woman. Way too much,’ she sneered inwardly.
“Sorry, Freya,” Liam said, lowering his head. “I owe you an apology. I’m exhausted, and it’s messing with my mood. Just… can you go easy on me?”
Freya continued packing. “You take your mistress to the hospital for prenatal care. What more do you want from me? Should I visit the hospital to serve your little sweetheart?”
Liam rubbed his temples, slumping onto the bed. “Can we not fight?”
“Sure, get a divorce, and I promise never to fight with you again.”
“No way.” Liam’s eyes sharpened instantly, and she could almost feel the tension rolling off him. “Don’t even think about it.”
His attitude made Freya even more grateful for having found Ryan as an ally earlier.
Pulling off the plan stealthily was a relief.
It was just this waiting period was so annoying. Otherwise, she’d be out of there in a flash.
Liam went on, “My mom almost cried herself to death today. I had no choice. I’m negotiating with Natalie, giving her money to secretly abort the baby without telling my parents.”
Freya chuckled. “She’s really pregnant? You said you didn’t go all the way, right?”
“I don’t know what happened, but after a blood test at the hospital today, she really is pregnant.”
“Just a heads-up, you might end up wearing the horns, Freya said softly.
Liam shook his head. “No, I’ve had someone checking Natalie’s whereabouts and contacts these days. Everything’s clean.”
That meant the baby was definitely his.

Even though they didn’t finish, Natalie’s body was just that fertile-she still got knocked up like that.
Liam looked up, licked his lips, and asked softly, “Freya, you’re so against having kids, and I was wondering… could we…”
“You’re not thinking of keeping the baby but ditching the mom, are you?”
Freya hit the nail on the head. Liam sighed helplessly, “It’s the best solution I can think of right now.”
Freya chuckled. “I don’t even want to raise my own kids. You want me to raise someone else’s? What are you thinking?”
