Joseph and Madison had never seen Liam fly off the handle like this.
65 vouchets
Liam’s expression was stone–cold, his voice edged with ice. “Dad, that’s your daughter–in–law. You’d better watch your mouth -don’t go cursing her and bringing bad luck on yourself.”
The racket finally drew the nanny out of the kitchen in a panic.
She hurried over and took in the dining room chaos.
Food splattered everywhere, soup soaking into the floor, glass shards scattered in every direction–some had even flown as far as the villa’s front gate, testament to Liam’s boiling rage.
Joseph lost it too. “I’ve never once recognized that woman as my daughter–in–law! I’ll tell you what: the only one worthy of being Mrs. Grant is a woman who can give us kids! The rest are just outsiders–no place in this house!”
“Fine then,” Liam said with a bitter laugh. “If I can’t give you kids, I guess I’m an outsider too. Don’t expect to see me through this door again.”
He spun on his heel and headed for the exit.
Madison scrambled after him, grabbing his arm. “Liam, come on–what’s this about? Is one woman really worth throwing everything away?”
“You and Dad never stopped to think how this would hit me. You cooked up that nasty scheme against Freya without a care if it would break my heart.”
Madison sighed. “Okay, it was a bit harsh, I’ll give you that. But your dad just wanted you to cut her loose for good. We figured… she’s been around with all those men. You can’t seriously still want her after that, can you?”
“I do!” Liam snapped, his tone like frost. “I’m saying it now, loud and clear: no matter what she’s done or gone through, I want her. End of story.”
He stormed out, legs eating up the distance.
At the door, he glanced back and added, “You two are over the moon about the grandkid in Natalie’s belly. Now you’ve got your precious heir–your son’s chopped liver. Go on, raise the kid up right. Pretend I was never even born.”
“What on earth are you—”
Bam!
The door crashed shut, swallowing Madison’s words whole.
Joseph stomped around in fury. “What the hell kind of spell did that woman put on him?”
The landline rang just then. The nanny answered and called out, “Sir, ma’am–it’s Ms. Stone.”
Madison’s face lit up with instant warmth. “I’ll get it, I’ll get it-”
“Natalie, it’s Madison. Calling so late–what’s wrong?” Madison asked.
Natalie sniffled into the phone. “Madison.”
“Aw, honey, why the tears? Don’t cry now–it’s no good for the baby. Whatever’s eating at you, spill it to me, alright?”

Chapter 47
“I’m so sorry, Madison. It was my idiot idea that got Joseph dragged off by the cops.
Madison was quick to soothe her. “Nonsense, sweetie–how could you blame yourself? If anyone’s at fault, it’s Liam. That woman’s got him so twisted up, he won’t even own his parents anymore.”
“Did Lammy have another blowup with you?”
