Liam’s expression tensed immediately. “She’s not at the hotel? Where is she now?”

Jason sounded nervous too. “I’m not really sure… I heard from the front desk that at noon, Mrs. Grant left with Ryan and hasn’t returned since.”

Liam remembered.

During the call at noon, he had learned that Freya went out with Ryan.

But he hadn’t asked much at the time. Natalie kept pestering him, and Ryan was someone he trusted.

But taking her out during the day was one thing–staying out all night was another.

Liam immediately hung up and called Ryan.

The call was connected quickly.

“Hello?”

“Ryan, where are you now?” Liam asked.

Ryan sounded lazy and satisfied. “By the Peldra River, watching fireworks.”

“With whom?”

“With my girlfriend.”

Liam exhaled lightly. “Sorry, I guess I interrupted your date again.”

Ryan chuckled. “It’s fine, just don’t interrupt next time.”

Ryan let out a small sound and said, “Fireworks are so beautiful. She’s probably watching them too.”
