Emery kicked away my training clothes into a pile and began adjusting my dress. Though there was really nothing to adjust.

No matter how much I pulled it down or tugged at it, it was too skimpy. I looked at Emery and realized she was wearing simple clothes but they were far less revealing and modest than what I was being made to wear.

Emery looked me up and down and tapped her chin.

I was wondering what was different about you. But we are the same. Same body and hair.

I was feeling utterly exhausted and didn’t want to waste my breath correcting her.

We were nothing alike.

I was not and would never be okay with dancing to that psychopath’s tunes.

I let my hair loose and pulled them forward to provide whatever coverage I could to save my modesty.

How long is it gonna take?Martin sounded annoyed. I could also hear his feet tapping on the carpet restlessly.

Stop stallingEmery said and pushed me forward. I stumbled outside the wooden screen and Martin’s mouth fell open.

What a beauty! He said as Emery forced me forward to keep walking. I had the urge to shove her hard again but taking out my anger on her would not help me.

I had to save my energy and hatred to use it as a fuel when the time was right.

For now, I had to just play along until I figured a way out of Martin’s clutches.

Emery made me stand in front of Martin who was staring at me as if he had never seen a woman before. His creepy stare and the way he licked his lips made me want to kick my boots in his face.

But I somehow maintained my calm and faced him.

Why are you doing this? What sick pleasure are you deriving from humiliating me?I couldn’t help but ask.

Martin didn’t immediately answer me but instead he wiggled his finger from left to right. I didn’t understand what he meant but apparently Emery did because she turned me to the left then back and made me do a full circle.

It disgusted me to think that he wanted me to see from all angles. I folded my hands upon my chest when she pushed my hair on the back.

You are really not going to cooperate easily, are you?Martin sighed and got up from his chair.

I involuntarily stepped back as he strode forward and leaned towards me, invading my personal space.

He took a long whiff and I just couldn’t stand it anymore so my hand automatically flew upwards to slap the hit out of him. But he had anticipated the move so his hand narrowly avoided mine but I still managed to graze my fingertips against his checks.

I was seething in rage, breathing hard as he gripped my hand in his. I had taken him to be a coward but there was some strength in those hands after all.

I knew bringing you directly in front of the public was a bad idea but my, oh my, I didn’t think you would resist me so much!

Martin said and he brought out his tongue to like my knuckles. I yanked my hand away from him and he cackled like some drug addict high on drugs.

You are very interesting, witch. Very, very interesting! He said, nodding to himself and slightly losing his balance.

But Emery quickly rushed towards him to help him straighten up.

Martin looked at her as she bore all his weight and he smiled at her.

You are so easy, so boring. He said and pushed her away hard. Emery let out a panicked scream and she was hurled against a nearby pillar.

Her head smacked against the pillar and she collapsed on the floor. I only watched her in daze.

She had not fallen unconscious but there was a cut on her temple and blood was oozing out of the injury.

She gently reached up to her wound and brought her hands forward to stare at her fingers in shock.

I wasn’t sure why I was feeling sympathetic for her when she had been nothing but an asshole just like him.

Martin paid no attention to her and instead looked at me.

So is Maelyn and all the other girls in this kingdom. They all come to me easily, try to seduce me. But youHe said pointing at me feverishly.

You never looked at me that way. You only had eyes for that bastard. And that pisses me to no end.

He smiled devilishly, grinning from ear to ear that made all his teeth appear like a row of jagged pincers.

But now, I get to snatch the very thing my brother wanted, just like he did all these years to me.”

His smile was hideous and he cackled like a madman.
