Chapter 125
Peter called Carter while driving. He asked, “Carter, who exactly is Rhea?”
Carter had just arrived home. “Who? What?”
“I just…” Peter didn’t know how to start. “Never mind. Forget it.”
After hanging up, he called Lauren. “Lauren.”
“Peter, what’s wrong?”
“Do you know anything about Rhea’s background?”
Lauren was puzzled by Peter’s sudden concern about Rhea.
After thinking for a moment, she replied, “Her background isn’t anything special. But… she was recently involved with George Snider, the chairman of Draventh’s Snider Group, and someone named Nathan Ravelle. From what Carter said, Rhea might have a complicated relationship with George.”
Peter slammed the steering wheel furiously. He couldn’t believe Rhea, that shameless woman, would use her connection with George to mess with his family.
He had thought that she was some big shot, but in reality, she was just a bully who leaned on others‘ power and a cheap woman who used her charms to get what she wanted.
At that moment, Peter’s disgust toward Rhea peaked. He believed that she didn’t deserve Carter at all.
Lost in his rage, Peter was momentarily distracted. His car swerved into the roadside greenery, crushing a tree in an instant.
The airbags deployed, hitting him hard and leaving him dazed.
Ten minutes later, an ambulance arrived and rushed him to the hospital.
Late at night, Lauren learned the news from friends and hurried over.
When Gabriel and Helen saw her, they merely nodded.
Peter was fine.
The couple had to deal with the factory issue, so they left after arranging for a caregiver.
Peter had already woken up. Carter arrived shortly after, joining Lauren at the ward.

Chapter 125
Lauren leaned close to the bed and asked, “How could you drive so carelessly?”
Peter’s head was spinning. “You have no idea what that bitch Rhea… If it weren’t for her, none of this would have happened!”
“Rhea? What did she do?” Carter asked. He had taken the kids to see Rhea yesterday. She had spent .the whole day playing with them, but didn’t exchange a single word with him. It was as if he were a
stranger to her.
Peter couldn’t swallow his anger. “She’s abusing her connection with George, scheming like a villain. My family’s factories had to halt all operations because I said one word about her at the hospital! I don’t know how she found out. She really disgusts me!”
Carter frowned. “When did this happen?”
Lauren was shocked. “H–How can she be so selfish? Just because you said one word about her, she drags your entire family into trouble?”
Peter felt the same way. “Carter, you’d better stay away from her. She’s a disaster! Thinking about my parents scrambling to deal with this late at night, I just want to…” He almost wanted to storm over to Rhea and strangle her.
Lauren sighed and tried to calm him. “Calm down. This is partly my fault. You were just standing up for me. But since she knows George, there’s really nothing we can do…”
