Chapter 205
When Lauren saw the scene, her expression flickered, and her smile seemed a little forced.
She tugged lightly at the high collar of her outfit and walked forward with composed confidence.
Carter said, “To be honest, this partnership wouldn’t have happened without Lauren making the introduction. In life, it’s not a problem to meet the wrong people, but meeting the right ones is a real blessing.”
He was subtly calling Rhea the woman who brought him misfortune, all the while deliberately praising Lauren.
“Really?”
“Ms. Thayer, you’re truly remarkable!”
Nathan, sitting off to the side, commented, “Whether it’s a blessing or a curse is still up in the air. Mr. Jamison, your foresight could be improved.”
Upon hearing that, Louie immediately jumped in, asking, “May I ask, Ms. Thayer, which company did you recommend for a partnership with Jamison Group? I’m sure it must be a powerhouse. Otherwise, in this market…”
Carter shot Louie a cold glance, then turned to Lauren, smiling. “It’s fine. Just tell them which company it is.”
According to Lauren, it was a top–ranked dental hospital abroad. People there were very enthusiastic about dental care, so it was extremely profitable.
The chain her “godfather” ran, Vellure Dental, had been visited by countless renowned actors and actresses, both at home and abroad.
Carter had heard of it before.
A chain like that had significant medical equipment needs.
Lauren clenched her hands nervously and said in a low voice, “Carter, maybe don’t say it out loud here. We don’t want to make people jealous.”
“Oh, that wouldn’t happen. We’re all in the same industry. They were the ones who guided me when I was barely scraping by a few years ago,” Carter said, his gaze occasionally flicking toward Rhea.
Rhea toyed with her phone and met his eyes. “If that’s the case, Mr. Jamison, there’s no need to hold back. The media’s here.”
At the mention of media presence, Carter wondered who had called them.

It was Rhea who had asked Louie to contact them.
Since Carter was so eager for fame, she, as his soon–to–be ex, could give him a little help.
Soon, reporters swarmed in.
“Mr. Jamison, we heard you secured a major partnership. Can you share your success story?”
Carter hadn’t expected reporters and couldn’t really send them away now. He said, “Thank you all for your concern. Please don’t believe every rumor online. I’ve always insisted on working with reputable companies and delivering trustworthy products.”
“Ms. Thayer?”
Lauren stumbled back a step as reporters pressed in. A stack of documents fell halfway out of her bag.
Sharp–eyed reporters immediately spotted the contracts and started reading.
“Shelby Dental?”
