Seeing her move, Nathan’s bodyguard immediately stepped forward, ready to restrain Lauren.

Rhea raised her hand slightly and tilted her head. “Am I wrong? Maybe I remembered wrong.”

Anthony said, “Ms. Ravelle, perhaps you did remember wrong. Mr. Hopper from Vellure Dental said that Ms. Thayer tried every charm in the book to get him to work with Mr. Jamison, but he loves his wife and son too much, so he refused.”

Lauren’s eyes welled up. In a panic, she yelled, “Shut up! Y–You’re slandering me!”

Anthony raised an eyebrow. “Is that so? But Mr. Hopper himself said that when you were with him, you didn’t go around crying all the time, and that your body was excellent. He probably got the wrong person. You’re beautiful and kind. You wouldn’t become a mistress, right?”

Rhea watched as Carter’s gaze at Lauren turned to disgust.

She turned around. “Nathan, let’s go.”

Before leaving, Nathan suddenly looked back. “By the way, Mr. Jamison, I’ll be picking up my nephew in a month and a half.”

Nephew?

“Have you forgotten? Rhea’s child,” Nathan said.

Carter was puzzled. Since when did he and Rhea have a child?

But a second later, Carter suddenly recalled the baby Rhea had aborted.

Anthony added, “Mr. Jamison, I told you to take good care of Ms. Ravelle’s baby.”

If he didn’t, then he couldn’t complain about what was about to happen.

Rhea left without glancing back. She knew Carter’s possessiveness and domineering nature all too well. No matter how gentle and thoughtful Lauren was in his eyes, this revelation alone was enough to disgust him.
