Chapter 440
The internal line at the Ravelle residence rang. Philip froze. “W–What?”
The security guard at the front gate reported that the Snider family had arrived with a huge
entourage.
Philip didn’t know what they were doing here at this hour.
Hearing the news, Liam immediately came down from his room, with Ruby following closely behind.
Five minutes later, the Sniders started entering the house, one after another.
Ruby was surprised. “Mr. Snider Senior, Steven, what brings you here so suddenly? Please have a seat.”
She then turned to a maid and instructed, “Serve some tea and fruits.”
Liam’s eyes scanned the items the Snider family’s maids were bringing in. He gave Ruby a meaningful look and whispered, “Ask Rhea not to come down.”
Ruby immediately understood and quickly went upstairs.
Bryan had gathered all the Sniders together, making for a grand and impressive scene. The elders took their seats, while the younger ones all stood.
The sheer number of people present made it clear how much importance they placed on Rhea.
The Snider family descendants all had striking appearances. Liam could tell at a glance that they had
been well–raised.
Liora stood behind them with Zayne, practically buzzing with excitement. She had even managed to sneak in a quick Instagram post.
Rhea was about to be her cousin–in–law. She couldn’t help but feel delighted.
In the living room, the Ravelle family’s maids immediately sprang into action to attend to the guests.
“George, have a seat,” Liam invited.
Steven waved in dismissal. “He can just stand for now.”
Liam took a seat and smiled without saying a single word.
“Liam, I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of my family for everything that happened before to you, Ruby, and Rhea,” Steven said sincerely.
Liam said, “There’s no need to be so formal. It was just a little squabble between the kids.”

He appeared to bear no ill will toward Cynthia.
“It’s like this. George and Rhea have been seeing each other for a while now, and they’re not kids anymore. I was wondering if we could discuss formalizing their relationship with an engagement first. Rest assured. We’ll show our utmost sincerity in all the formalities. After all, having Rhea as a daughter–in–law is an honor for us,” Steven said, his smile warm.
George, who usually called the shots in the business world, could only stand quietly on the sidelines this time. As someone younger, it was proper etiquette.
Liam smiled. “I’ve always liked George. I’ve had faith in him since he was young. Knowing that he’s
with Rhea, I’m very reassured.”
Steven smiled politely. “He’s just an ordinary man.‘

Liam glanced around at the group and asked, “Is Cynthia unwell?”
She hadn’t come.
Bryan spoke up. “Liam.”
Liam nodded respectfully. “Yes, Mr. Snider Senior.”
“In our family, it’s the kids‘ choice when it comes to marriage. If they like someone and are on board, we support and assist them,” Bryan said firmly.
Liam nodded in agreement. “That’s right. As parents, we spend our lives hoping our children can grow up well. Even if they don’t reach great heights, they should at least live peaceful, fulfilling lives.

His words carried a new weight.
His gaze darkened slightly. “Cynthia has watched over my two children since they were young. Ruby has even praised her kindness and warmth.”
