Chapter 447
Elena replied, “I just finished eating, Mom.‘
Esther asked, “At a restaurant? Should I send a few chefs over? Your dad’s checking out a Draventh property. He’ll get you one.‘
She didn’t think that living in a hotel all the time would be good for her.
“At Nathan’s private home,” Elena replied.
It took several minutes after sending the message before getting a reply.
“…Sweetie, did you eat like usual? Control yourself. Don’t scare him!”
Elena glanced up.
Nathan, holding his water glass, stared blankly at the empty plates. He was definitely scared.
“…Mom, I think you said that a little too late.”
Esther replied, “You… Never mind. I still think you should have your own team of chefs. Next time,
have a bite at home before you meet up with Nathan.”
She didn’t think eating a lot was a bad thing, but Elena’s actual appetite was genuinely intimidating.
The Ravelles were a prominent family. She didn’t want them to think that Elena lacked proper
etiquette.
Elena set down her phone. “Nathan, I have a big appetite. Does that bother you?”
Nathan finally snapped out of his daze. He studied her for a moment. “Respecting food is a virtue, and being able to eat well is a blessing. I don’t think it’s a problem.”
Then, he added, “It’s no wonder you’re so tall.”
Elena blinked in surprise at that.
Just then, Ruby called. Nathan got up to answer. “Yes, Mom.”
“You’re awake?” It seemed like there were quite a few people at Ruby’s end of the line.
The family was busy preparing for Rhea’s engagement party, after all.
Ruby said, “You should come home tonight for dinner. Bring Ms. Austin. She moved to Draventh, right?”
She had heard a bit about Nathan’s situation.

Since Elena had come all this way to see him, they naturally needed to host her properly.
Nathan thought for a moment. “Alright.”
“Do you know what she likes to eat?” Ruby asked.

Nathan paused at that question and glanced at the dining table not far away. After a moment, he said, “She’s not picky.”
“Okay, then I-”
Nathan rubbed his brow. “Have the chefs make extra.”
Ruby was surprised. “Oh… okay.”
By evening, Elena was ready. She was waiting for Nathan so that they could go to the Ravelle residence together, but he never came.
She told Rowen, then went upstairs to look.
“Nathan?”
Elena peeked into his bedroom from the door without stepping inside. “Nathan, are you okay?”
However, the room seemed empty, which she found strange.
The study door was open, but he wasn’t there either. She wondered if his hangover had made him feel so poorly that he had fainted somewhere.
Feeling worried, Elena rushed into the bedroom and raised her voice. “Nathan?”
She searched for a while, but the sound of flushing water made her stop. Elena turned toward the bathroom.
Nathan emerged, his face slightly pale. His right hand rested lightly on his lower abdomen.
“What’s wrong?” Elena stepped closer. “Not feeling well?”
Nathan waved his hand, but he looked a little unwell.
“Is it a stomachache?”
