“When are they coming back?” CG whined for the hundredth time. Though, I don’t blame him. We all thought they’d be back by now.

“He said to give them an hour,” Havoc replied. “Should be any minute.”

“Why do you think he called church?” CG asked. “And for just the five of us.”

“Probably to tell us that they all fu.cked,” Havoc muttered. “Ya know, to declare her fair–game or whatever it is you guys are doing with my stepsister.”

“Right, right, just us,” CG grumbled sarcastically before tossing back another shot.

“He told us to get sober,” I stated.

“I’m too sober to deal with Havoc’s denial,” he replied.

“I’m not in denial,” Havoc hissed.

Again, we gave him that bullsh.it look.

“Just get over all this BS already,” CG said, waving a hand to gesture to all of Havoc. “You want her. We know it. You know it. The entire club knows it thanks to you trudging around all drunk and sh.it, telling all the succubi that you chose Blythe over everyone.”

Havoc sighed heavily, but ignored CG. Or maybe he didn’t have anything to say to that. I get it. I was in Havoc’s boat at one point. Sort of. Trying to push Bly away when I so clearly wanted

her.

“Ya know,” I said gently, but teasingly. “Giving in to my needs and wants when it comes to Blythe was the best thing I ever did.”

Dragon walked into the room once we were all seated. He locked the door and took the chair beside Havoc, on the opposite side of CG. We all smiled at him, and he beamed back at us.

“Woulda hugged ya’ll, but Karma seemed in a bad mood when we got here,” Dragon said. “Missed you though, brothers.”

“We fucking missed you too,” I replied, feeling a little giddy. “So good to have you back.”

“Yeah, no fu.cking kidding,” CG agreed. “I been waiting for you to come help me unravel Bly.”

Dragon smirked, his eyes going to Karma.

“So you did do it,” I said, looking at Karma too. “You guys fu.cked her.”

Karma nodded.

I felt something heavy settle in my gut.

Karma took a deep breath before looking up at us.

“We need to catch Dragon up to speed,” he said. “And then I need to tell you what Luca and I found out.”

That was brutal. Worse than brutal. I mean, we all already knew something bad happened to Blythe. She pretty much admitted that there was abuse with Daniel and Sean.

I just think none of us wanted to admit how bad it truly was.

Granted, no matter what, we knew it was bad. Our girl had been abused for years and brainwashed into thinking we didn’t care. We weren’t there for her. We saw the scars on her back. Her entire personality had changed because of what she went through. We knew it was bad. Really bad.

I thought CG was going to blow a gasket. You’d think he’d be the calmest one, or maybe the one that would cry about it, but he wasn’t.
