“I think her employer wanted to get rid of his wife and is using my wife to do it. I think he’s pushing her and potentially using her mother’s employment as the housekeeper to his parents to force her to cooperate with his plan.”

Juniper turned her head slowly from the mediator to Kyst and stared at him incredulously. “Do you even know how to take responsibility and be accountable for your behavior? You invited another woman into our home. You then engaged in sexual acts with her against the door of our apartment, on our sofa and in our bed, all the while, you degraded her in a weird sexual performance. I watched you in real time, Kyst. You don’t get to pretend this was the machinations of a man who wants to get rid of his wife when it’s your behavior. He brought it to my attention. I won’t lie about it. I was the one though who smelled her on you. I was the one who watched what you did. I was the one who told my lawyer I wanted to divorce you.”

Kyst swallowed at the words, “you don’t mean it, Juniper.”

“Why wouldn’t I mean it? You betrayed our vows, Kyst.”

Beni looked at the mediator, “actually, Ms. Laurent, you’ll see in the file, Mr. Kennedy’s indiscretion with Denise Perez was only the latest in his infidelity.”

“That’s not true.” Kyst sputtered furiously.

“If we go to court,” Beni turned his full attention to Kyst, “not only will we subpoena your full list of female clienteles and put them on the stand, but we will also put your boss, on the stand. Do you think, Kyst, he’ll be willing to take the fall for your disgusting behavior?”

“What behavior?” Mr. Whittaker asked quietly as he took in the blanched features of his own client.

“Your client has a terrible habit of trying to secure business by flirting with women at the encouragement of his employer.”

“Define flirting,” the mediator asked as she reluctantly opened the folder.

“The common definition of flirting where he compliments a woman and gets her phone number, happened a lot but there were also over the course of the last four years, women he exchanged sexual text messages with are in the double digits. We also confirmed,” Beni shot Kyst a hateful glare, “three different women where Mr. Kennedy crossed the boundaries of flirting and sexting to a physical relationship.”

“I did not.”

“You did.” Beni retorted coolly. “You did, Kyst and you took advantage of my client’s trusting nature thinking she would never question your behavior, and she didn’t. You love bombed her to make sure she thought you were wanting her and only her, but the truth is far uglier.” Beni turned his attention back to the mediator. “While we did not wish to waste the court’s time,

we were ordered to attend this mediation but the only thing we will mediate today is the split of marital assets. We contend, Mr. Kennedy, in any attempt at reconciliation does not keep my client’s best interests at heart. He is self–serving and wants to have his cake and eat it too.”

The mediator flipped to the first tab and then flicked an annoyed glance at Kyst as she noted the very tangible evidence of the man having sex with another woman. “This is in your home, Juniper.”

“Yes.” Juniper nodded.

“While you were at work?”

“It started while I was at work but during the time he was engaged in this, I ended up suffering a miscarriage of our baby and I was taken to a medical clinic for care.”

The mediator’s narrowed gaze should have made Kyst shrink but he kept shaking his head as if trying to deny it. She looked at Beni, “the next tab?”

“Screenshots of a video during which Mr. Kennedy met a client recently with whom he engaged in a physical affair in the past. She approached him at his office. While they left separately, it’s been confirmed she’s been coming to his workplace nearly every day in the hopes of catching him again. This first meeting with her precipitated the investigator to look into their relationship and confirmed Mr. Kennedy spent time with her in a hotel room in Montreal following which the woman never really was able to let go and she has been waiting for the moment he left his wife

Kyst was strangely silent, his eyes downcast and unable to meet the hate–filled glare from Juniper.

“There is also a series of screenshots taken from a video of a woman who approached him at a coffee shop last Thursday morning where she screamed at him about how he owed her sex now that he was getting divorced. You’ll see the reason my client is afraid of Mr. Kennedy.”

The woman looked at the photo and then back to Kyst, “you slapped a woman?”

“She hit me first and dumped scalding black coffee all over me. I was burned and I reacted to her attack.”

“You had a relationship with this woman?”

“No.”

“You will see there are emails and text messages between Mr. Kennedy and this woman in the fourth tab of your file, Ms. Whittaker. They are quite explicit and include nudes she sent and Mr. Kennedy boldly declaring what he’d like to do to certain parts of her body. While for Mr. Kennedy, based on the contents of the file and some emails the PI was able to secure, we were able to confirm, Mr. Kennedy makes false promises to a multitude of women in exchange for theirs and their family’s business. Many of those emails include the line, if I wasn’t married and now that his marriage has imploded, the women are coming out of the woodwork to cash in on those promises.” 4/6
