Karma Doesn’t Sleep: The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 388

Now that everything had finally settled—and the statute of limitations was long gone—Hank had completely reinvented himself. He was no longer the man she remembered. Now, he was a mysterious billionaire, a collector, a philanthropist, always making headlines, always looking perfect.

“Amelia, don’t live your life in hatred. Don’t waste your energy on revenge. All I ever wanted was for you to be safe and happy, to live a peaceful life…” Her mother’s gentle words still lingered in her memory.

Her grandfather Tony had warned her too. “Don’t stand out too much, Amelia. Don’t let them notice you.”

And she knew exactly who “they” were—Hank and Bianca. Those two heartless snakes.

Amelia’s fists clenched so tight her fingernails dug into her palms.

How was she supposed to just let go? How could she ever be at peace if she didn’t fight to get back everything that rightfully belonged to the Sadinton family?

Her mother had been too soft, too forgiving. In the end, illness took her, and she died young, never seeing that heartless man show a sliver of regret.

Amelia wouldn’t make the same mistake.

She wasn’t the one who should be hiding in fear. It was Hank and Bianca who should be watching over their shoulders, waiting for the day she came for them.

Hank had cleaned up his image and was starting to show off again. His next big event? A charity auction—something flashy, something that’d get everyone’s attention.

Amelia made a note of the date.

A knock interrupted her thoughts. “Amelia?” Belle called from outside.

Amelia quickly closed the webpage, took a deep breath, and opened the door.

“What’s up, Belle?”

Belle smiled. “I just wanted to make sure you saw the message in the work chat. We’re getting off half an hour early today. The whole R&D team and the execs are going to The Manor for a fancy dinner. Mr. Packman’s treating us to celebrate!”

Amelia blinked in surprise. “Ryan’s treating us? But the project isn’t even done yet. What are we celebrating?”

Belle shrugged. “No clue. Maybe something good happened for Mr. Packman? Anyway, when the big boss offers dinner at a restaurant that costs a fortune, you don’t say no, right? I’ll come get you after work. We can head over together.”

Amelia nodded. “Sounds good.”

She was about to head back to her office when her phone rang.

“Hello, Andrew?”

“Ms. Sadinton, do you have a moment? Could you come to the entrance to sign for your delivery?”

Amelia frowned, a little confused, but hurried out front. When she saw what was waiting for her, she stopped dead in her tracks.

Andrew was there with two moving trucks filled with stuff.
