Kneeling for a Second Chance (Sebastian and Valeria) novel Chapter 105

Sebastian got out of the car and leaned against the door, checking the time.

Just then, a housekeeper from the Grant family who was there to pick up Leo happened to see him and called out to him. Leo ran over excitedly, "Uncle Sebastian, did you come to pick me up?"

Sebastian replied coldly, "No."

Leo said, "Then what are you doing here?"

At that moment, Selena appeared, carrying her little backpack around. She looked around before she walked over. "Mr. Grant."

Sebastian's expression softened significantly, and he took Selena's hand before helping her into the car.

Leo tried to follow as well, but Sebastian grabbed his collar and stopped him. "I have something to do. Go home with the housekeeper."

Leo suddenly had a mysterious look on his face. He looked at Sebastian solemnly and said, "Uncle Sebastian, I get it now."

Selena got in the car, and Sebastian shut the door behind her.

Then, he shot the housekeeper a look and motioned for her to take Leo home.

When he heard what Leo said, he lazily responded, "What do you get?"

Leo replied, "You want to go on a date with Selena. I'd just be the third wheel if I went. That's why you don't want to take me with you."

Sebastian rubbed his brow helplessly.

Even the housekeeper approaching them couldn't help but laugh. "Mr. Leo has been watching a lot of soap operas with Mrs. Grant Senior at home. It's getting to his head."

Sebastian shook his head, feeling exasperated and speechless as he called out the boy's name, "Leo."

Leo puffed out his chest. "I guessed right, didn't I? I won't go, but you can't butt in next time I go on a date with Selena either!"

The boy's tone was innocent, but he tried so hard to sound like an adult.

Normally, Sebastian would find it funny, but for some reason, the word "butt in" irked him.

His expression changed slightly.
