Valeria didn't even know how to use her tongue in a kiss, and she had just brushed her lips against Sebastian's. When they kissed, her lips had trembled slightly.

There was also the possibility that Shane was just a useless piece of shit who couldn't even satisfy his wife's needs. No wonder people always claimed that a long-distance marriage was doomed to fail.

Sebastian truly liked Selena, but his reality was that his family wasn't just an ordinary family. He could not convince them to accept a child who wasn't related to them by blood. Besides, he would also be stepping in between someone's marriage.

Unless, Valeria got pregnant with his cold. That way, he'd be able to shut Martha and Nicholas' mouths before they could even utter a word.

At that moment, Sebastian's phone rang.

Glancing at the caller ID, he didn't answer, as though he knew what the caller wanted. Instead, he lowered his head and kissed Valeria on the forehead.

He said, "It's raining heavily outside, so you and Selena can just rest here. I need to go out for a bit since Dr. Gordon is looking for me. I'll be back soon."

Valeria nodded.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the scratch marks around Sebastian's chest, and her cheeks instantly turned red. She never thought she could leave marks like that since she had short fingernails.

Laughing, Sebastian said, "Why are you acting shy now? My back is littered with your scratches. Would you like to take a look at your handiwork?"
