Kneeling for a Second Chance (Sebastian and Valeria) novel Chapter 153

Sebastian let Valeria go and was about to head out when she grabbed his sleeve. She knew what he was going for. "There's no need for a condom."

He looked at her, his eyes narrowing slightly.

After a moment, his fingers tightened around her waist. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah." Valeria nodded.

That was because the doctor had told her she would never be able to conceive again.

When it was over, Sebastian opened the kitchen window and lit a cigarette. The hum of the kitchen hood stopped.

The small kitchen was still heavy with the charged air between them.

Valeria adjusted her clothes, reaching behind to fasten the clasp of her bra.

Sebastian lit a cigarette and held it between his lips. Then, he pulled her closer by the waist, reached around her back, and guided her hands, fastening the clasp with precision.

His gaze lingered on her.

His fingertips pressed lightly against a faint mark on her shoulder. It was from a few days ago and hadn’t faded yet.

Her skin was so delicate.

He didn't even dare to use much force. A single mark could stay on her skin for so many days.

Sebastian's mind couldn't help but picture Valeria with Shane, wondering if it had been like that with him, too. Had her body once carried the marks Shane had left on her?

The thought left a bitter taste in his mouth.

With his cigarette pinched between his fingers, he grabbed her face and leaned in to kiss her. She had no strength left to resist.
