Chapter 181
Valeria’s gaze was calm and clear with no trace of desire in it. All it conveyed was refusal and
exhaustion.
On the contrary, Sebastian’s gaze was mad.
He felt like he had been humiliated upon being rejected. He forced himself to calm down as he gripped the steering wheel tightly to help release his frustration.
If he had used the same amount of strength to hold her down or even grab her wrist, he would have crushed her long ago.
Sebastian knew that if he really wanted to do it, there was nothing Valeria could do to resist
him.
Her body had a light fragrance with no trace of another man’s scent. She had taken a shower, but the marks remained on her body.
Sebastian never really intended to force himself onto her, but his heart felt suffocated. Valeria was frail and had never been in great health to begin with. He was not so perverted that he would force himself onto a weakened woman.
When she said that she was exhausted, he simply assumed that she meant she had already spent all her energy on Shane and had nothing left for him.
Sebastian eventually steadied his breathing.
His chest ached as he stared at Valeria’s face. He gritted his teeth and reached out to help fasten up the buttons on her clothes.
Then, he helped her into her down jacket, zipped it up, and held onto her chin for a kiss.
It was a light kiss that he pecked gently on the corner of her lips.
Sebastian then spoke up. “I’m on the night shift tomorrow, and I have personal matters to attend to on the night after that, I can look for you two nights from now. When will you be free?”
When he saw how Valeria was staring back at him in shock, he forced himself to calm down.
Enduring the throbbing pain in his temples, he lowered his voice. “Other than tonight, the only time I’m free during this week would be two nights froni now.”
Sebastian then caught Valeria’s fingers and pressed them onto his chest, which was burning hot and heaving up and down.
The scorching heat of his body caused her to pull her hand away, causing his eyes to flicker

with a hint of dejection and pain that would vanish in an instant.

After a few seconds of silence, he continued, “I can switch cars if you’re worried that Shane will find out about us. I’ll drive a different low–profile car each time. No one will ever know.”
Valeria then reached out to touch Sebastian’s forehead.
She found that his temperature was as normal as it could be, but his strange behavior left her
confused. He was behaving in such a strange manner.
Everything Sebastian had done and said was completely unlike the man that Valeria knew of.
Sebastian felt the soft touch of her fingers against his forehead. Her hands were cool, causing him to wrap them in his palm instinctively and knead them lightly.
He then replied, “So, you do care about me. I don’t have a fever, nor have I taken any drugs. I don’t do anything illegal.”
Valeria nodded in response. She was glad to hear that he did not actually do drugs.
