Diameter: 9.14 meters. Total area: approximately 69.7 square meters.
The octagonal world where every victory and defeat is decided.
Zain Lance had never lost in this cage.
From his amateur days to his rise to the championship—
In this narrow, brutal arena, he had always been undefeated.
And he thought that would never change.
He even had a good start.
Smack!
A perfectly executed calf kick.
Even if your adrenaline is spiking and you’re ignoring the pain, this one would still drill agony straight into your leg.
There was no escaping it.
‘Just one clean shot and it’s practically over.’
That was Zain Lance’s guaranteed win pattern.
The lead leg—specifically the calf—blown out by a crushing kick.
It °• N 𝑜 v 𝑒 l i g h t •° locked down the opponent’s lower body.
That’s how it was supposed to go.
“Who’s killing who? Want me to actually kill you?”
At least, until he heard that voice—looking down at him from above.
Why am I on the ground?
‘This makes no sense.’
The move Kim Donghu just pulled?
You could easily mistake it for something a rookie would do.
Instead of going for a quick, clean hit, he went all in, sweeping the leg to take his opponent down.
A move with more risk than reward.
If it had failed, it would’ve left a wide opening—maybe even led to a KO.
And yet... it worked?
On me?
‘Impossible.’
Either a fluke or pure luck.
That’s what Zain Lance told himself.
Whoosh.
He sprang to his feet before the takedown punch could follow.
“You’ll regret not finishing me just now for the rest of your life.”
“You still don’t get what it means that I took the suit off.”
A brief exchange.
And right after the words ended—
!
It was Kim Donghu who moved first, not Zain Lance.
During the entire boxing match, Donghu had only countered.
Zain Lance had unconsciously assumed he wouldn’t come forward.
‘Shit!’
The unexpected dash caught Zain off guard, and he instinctively flung his body backward.
And in that exact moment—
Whoosh.
A move Kim Donghu had never used before came flying out.
Thwack!
A loud, sharp impact.
“Ah, AH!!!!”
The moment they heard the sound, the commentators jumped up again.
“A crescent kick! He’s insane! That was a perfect kick!”
“Think of the crescent kick like a liver shot—except he’s hitting it with his leg instead of his fist!”
“Boxer Kim Donghu punches the liver, but MMA Kim Donghu kicks it?!”
A near-perfect strike.
As he closed the distance, he dragged his rear leg forward.
And the moment Zain tried to back out, Donghu swung that dragged leg in a clean arc.
Zain’s eyes were locked onto Donghu’s front foot and centerline.
He never saw the setup coming.
And that rear leg—hidden in his blind spot—slammed straight into Zain Lance’s side.
“Zain Lance is staggering immediately!
Wait—why hasn’t the ref called it yet?”
“Are they seriously going to let this continue?
If so, Donghu’s gonna end it for real!”
“This makes no sense!
You can’t let this fight keep going from here!”
“Donghu’s closing in!
He’s chasing Zain Lance as he stumbles back—!”
A perfect KO finisher incoming.
Donghu’s fist aimed precisely at the jaw—
Crack!
But instead, his punch collided with Zain Lance’s forehead bone.
A trick once famous in Korea: “how to take a hit without pain.”
Zain Lance just used it for real.
Of course, unlike in the comics—
“AAAGH!”
“You’re really flailing now.”
The one using the forehead hurts more.
‘What the hell is happening?!’
What followed... honestly, was hard to watch.
‘I just need to hold out until I recover.’
He ran.
At around 1 minute 13 seconds into the match—
Zain Lance, caught in an unplanned scenario, chose to flee.
Inside the tight cage, he turned his back.
Whenever Donghu approached, he’d fake engagement, pivot, and run again.
Rinse, repeat.
After about a minute of this—
just before the referee lost patience and issued a warning—
Zain Lance, now empowered by murderous intent,
“...Whew. I’m back.”
Recovered fully.
And—
‘My strength... it’s even greater now?’
Feeling that his current state wasn’t enough to kill Donghu, fate reinforced Zain Lance one more time.
No one saw it coming.
Everyone thought he was just a boxer.
But the moment other strikes and kicks were allowed, boxing became his shackle.
And Donghu broke free—rampaging inside the cage.
“You really know how to run.”
“Not anymore!”
Zain Lance closed the distance again.
Fueled by stronger bloodlust—to kill Kim Donghu for sure this time.
Slide.
In their standoff, Zain Lance used his lead hand to block Donghu’s vision.
Then, pulling his body back from that position, he launched his rear elbow—
Thud!
Right into Donghu’s forearm.
A payback for the crescent kick.
He pressed in close—
