Chapter 121
Alla POV
Gabriel’s position in the Castro family was already precarious, and he could be replaced at any moment. Securing a partnership with Black Hawk was his only hope.
Now, with Black Hawk about to announce they would never collaborate with the Castro family, he could only watch helplessly as his father abandoned him, forever barring him from the core of the Castro family.
“No, that… Mr. Vittorio…” Gabriel was more bitter than a bitter gourd, so bitter he couldn’t even form a complete sentence.
Marco gave Gabriel a cold glance before turning to leave.
Gabriel wanted to follow, but considering what he had done, how could he have the face to do so? Even if he caught up, what could he say?
“Young master…”
“Get out of my sight, you useless fools! I feed you well, and what have you done for me today?” Gabriel kicked the men around him repeatedly, taking out all the frustration he had suffered from Marco on his subordinates.
Perhaps due to shock, Gabriel remained dazed for a long time. His legs were weak, and as he approached the stairs, he wasn’t paying attention and fell flat on his face.
When his men ran to help him, he kicked them away again, cursing, “Get lost, all of you! Anyone who comes near me again, I’ll destroy their entire family.”
Watching Gabriel’s ranting and cursing, Stefano shook his head. If the Castro family were to be handed over to someone like Gabriel, there would be no future for them.
Both born into wealthy families, one was a foul–mouthed troublemaker and a waste; the other was calm, reserved, discreet, and principled–the Godfather of Black Hawk.
In comparison, their Mr. Vittorio was thousands of times more exceptional than Gabriel.
I stood by the floor–to–ceiling window in the room, holding my mother’s ring, staring blankly at the snow-
covered landscape outside.
It was as if my mother was standing outside the window, smiling at me with tenderness and kindness.
“Mom…” I rushed forward to embrace her, only to collide with the glass window.
The pain instantly brought me back to reality, and I realized the image had been a hallucination.

Chapter 121
“Alia!” Marco opened the door just in time to witness this scene. Seeing me hit the glass window, his voice darkened.
I looked up at him with a smile. “You’re back.”
Marco ran over and embraced me, his brows furrowed. “Alia, you have me.”
“I know.” I winked at him playfully.
Though I was smiling, Marco thought I looked worse than if I were crying.
Being held tightly by Marco, his body heat gradually transferred to me, making my body less cold and my
heart less chilled.
Marco’s strength was immense, as if he wanted to absorb me into his body. He said nothing, but I felt everything from him.
I gently pushed him. “Marco, I can hardly breathe.”
Marco didn’t respond. After a long while, he said, ‘I’ll go with you to the church.”
“No.” I refused without a second thought.
Marco released me and held my face in his hands. “Alia, some things have already happened. You need to face them bravely. Don’t you want to see her one last time?”
I admit I was afraid–afraid that my last bit of fantasy would disappear, afraid to see what I didn’t want to
see,
“Let’s go,” I said, taking a deep breath and looking up at Marco with a smile.
Marco had never disliked my smile as much as he did now.
My forced smile could be shown to anyone, but with him, he only wished for me to be my most authentic
self.
Yet, he was helpless against me. He didn’t even want me to know that he had already seen through my
pretense.
Cain had anticipated that I would come to the church, so he was waiting with his men on the n
route.
He looked at me, then at Marco beside me.
Marco also looked at Cain, his gaze containing a faint smile that inexplicably sent a chill down Cain’s spine.

Chapter 121
Cain avoided Marco’s gaze and looked at me again. “Alla, you ran away from home three years ago, Your mother had already wi
up on you. Now that she’s gone, please don’t disturb her.”
Heh…
I let out a cold laugh, my piercing eyes coldly staring at Cain.
This was my self–righteous father.
I never knew Cain had such skill in distorting facts.
Cain continued, “Alia, you should go back. I won’t let you disturb my wife.”
“What else?” I wasn’t angry, just staring intently at Cain.
Today, I wanted to see just how shameless his words could get.
Cain looked left and right, not daring to meet my gaze directly. “If you still consider her your mother, show some mercy. Let her go peacefully, don’t make her die with regrets.”
At the mention of “die with regrets,” my anger surged. If it weren’t for Cain, my mother would still be alive.
It was he, Cain Rossi, who killed his own wife, who killed my beloved mother.
“Cain…” Just as I was about to explode, Marco pulled me back.
He ruffled my hair and said softly, “Alia, we’re here to see your mother.”
Before coming, Marco had anticipated that Cain might pull something like this, so he had Luca make a phone call to find someone.
With Marco’s persuasion, I suppressed my anger, glaring fiercely at Cain.
At that moment, a black car quickly pulled up beside them. A plump middle–aged man got out.
Seeing Marco, the plump man bowed and said, “Mr. Vittorio, sorry to keep you waiting.”
Marco nodded. “Thank you for guiding us, Father Matteo.”
Father Matteo hurriedly stepped forward, saying as he walked, “This way, Mr. Vittorio. My subordinates were ignorant and disrespectful to Mr. Vittorio. Please forgive them.”
“Matteo, you promised me…” Cain followed, but before he could finish, Father Matteo silenced him with a fierce glare.
Cain’s daily “work” was thinking about how to curry favor with the powerful. He had been doing this for decades, so he had developed a keen sense for reading situations.
