Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 216

Violet stood up. "Mr. Hayes, even if you truly love her, your actions over these past seven years have already drained all her love for you. If you love her, then loving you was never worth it. I can't do this job. I'm sorry."

With that, Violet walked out.

Richard and Jake exchanged confused glances. They were both players, constantly switching girlfriends. But men and women were different. Men were more rational while women were more emotional.

Whether it was Winona or Violet, after hearing what Sebastian had done to Roxanne and then hearing him claim that he loved her, they could only think it was absurd. Putting themselves in her shoes, they couldn't understand how someone like Sebastian could ever be deserving of Roxanne.

Richard and Jake, unable to fully grasp the female perspective, didn't feel the same intensity. But they both realized that it was almost impossible for Sebastian and Roxanne to be together.

Roxanne had always been the poster child for true love, the ultimate champion of romance. But it also proved the saying—"Even the strongest hearts eventually break."

The ward fell into an eerie silence.

Nicholas waved his hand dismissively at the two men. "You two can go now."

Without a word, Richard and Jake jumped to their feet, relieved, and quickly rushed out.

In the ward, Sebastian sat still in his chair. His gaze was calm, but he seemed enveloped in a quiet and detached air with no trace of joy or sorrow on his face.

Sebastian had always been stoic and cold, exuding an air of detachment. He was almost unapproachable. He was usually proud and aloof, yet now, there was a sense of sorrow surrounding him. It was a sorrow greater than when he had been kidnapped as a child and only found a month later.

Nicholas looked at him with a sense of sympathy. He had brought these four advisors in, hoping their words would make Sebastian realize the depth of his mistakes.

"Sebastian, women want to feel special. They want to see that you value them and that your actions reflect your care. If you love her, your actions should show it. You've never made Roxanne feel special.

"I don't know if there's still a chance for you and Roxanne, but if you want even the slightest chance, the first thing you need to do is put her first. Only then might you have a glimmer of hope. Next time, when faced with a choice between Roxanne and Liana, don't make the wrong decision again."
