Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 474

Lena was absolutely fuming!

Before Lena could even get a word out, Annika asked, "Miss Josefina, aren't you having any more to eat?"

"Nope, I'm done!" Lena stormed back to her room, too angry to even think about food. Rage had filled her up more than any meal could. "Who could eat at a time like this!" she thought.

...

Josefina got to the office and quickly grabbed her phone to call Oliver.

"Oliver, I didn't expect you to be so cautious. This morning, Lena actually brought up the incident."

Oliver had seen Lena the previous evening and was worried she might make a fuss about what happened, so he had preemptively edited that segment out of the security footage. He hadn’t expected it to actually become an issue.

"Oliver, you can't come over anymore. If we get caught, my reputation’s toast."

Oliver laughed, "Alright, I won't come over. For the sake of Josie’s image, I'll stay away."

A smile crept onto Josefina's face as she spun in her chair, teasingly adding, "Oliver, if Lena spills the beans, and you hadn't altered the footage, and my family finds out, what would we do then?"

"Then I'll just have to marry you and see who dares to say a word."

Josefina was silent... Marriage was something she hadn’t really considered yet.

"Oliver, I've got things to do, let's talk later." Josefina hung up the phone.

...

Left with a dial tone, Oliver sat in his office, eyebrows knitted in concern. Did Josie not want to marry him? Did she not want to settle down with him?

As Oliver pondered, his phone rang – it was a video call from Finley. Finley's eyes were bloodshot, yet a smile played on his lips.

"Oliver, how about we grab a drink tonight?"
