A frown crept onto Geoffrey’s face when he realized she’d never smiled like that again, ever since she married him.

The ringtone alarmed him.

Geoffrey took his phone. It was a call from Sean.

“Geoffrey, something happened to Maureen.”

After Sean learned that Maureen was pregnant, he asked the hospital clerks to pay attention to her and keep him post- ed.

Geoffrey’s heart skipped a beat when he heard Sean’s words.

“What is it?”

“I don’t know how it happened, but the doctor told me today that Maureen died.”

Sean was waiting for him downstairs.

“Where’s she?” Geoffrey trotted to him.

The director of the hospital handed Maureen’s examination reports to Sean.

Before, he only knew Maureen had been hospitalized for overdosing on sleeping pills and that she was pregnant.

But this file contained her medical records at other hospitals.

“What did you just say?” Sean looked up, confused. “Someone else saved me, not her.”

Andrea was surprised.

Deep down, she was ecstatic.
