Chapter 80
The car halted at the villa entrance, and the two bodyguards pulled me into the villa.
Leland was sitting on the sofa working when he saw me and immediately closed his laptop.
“Did you sign the transfer contract with your left hand?”
My heart skipped a beat. I had reluctantly signed it to attend the funeral, but wasn’t my left-hand signature valid?

With a puzzled expression and a hint of restraint, I asked him, “Leland, why can’t my phone make transfers or calls? Aren’t you going to explain this to
me?”
Leland stared at me as if his demand was the most logical thing in the world.”Does that phone do anything for you? Can it make you powerful enough to take this villa and the Leslie Group back from me? If it can’t, then what’s the point of keeping it? Sign that transfer contract with your right hand. I’m not going to say this a third time!”
His stern demeanor scared me, and I was terrified. He had never treated me like this before, from childhood until now.
I remembered when he was working, I would sit on his lap during meetings.
I remembered how he would fly back and forth in a day to get me my favorite plush toy. Now, it seemed he really didn’t love me anymore and was disgusted with me.
What exactly did Caitlyn do to bring about such a huge change in him?
Just as I was feeling angry, Caitlyn walked in, a smug smile on her face, holding takeout.
“Leland, look what I brought you, your favorite Baked Salmon.” She opened the package and carefully served Leland.
She shot me a disdainful look, and her smugness only grew.”Ms. Perez, if you can’t cook, you should learn. I asked the lawyer about the transfer contract; a left-handed signature is valid, but a handprint is still necessary.”
With a signal from Caitlyn, two bodyguards pinned me down until my handprint was on the paper.
