Chapter 360 You should definitely be in PR; it’s a waste of your talent otherwise!
Hugo Hodges didn’t want to get involved in the gang’s affairs, but his eyes narrowed when he caught sight of a necklace
on the ground.
This necklace…
He casually crouched down, picked up the necklace, and examined it closely for a moment. Then he looked at the man
lying on the ground and asked, “Where did this come from?”
The man, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, looked at Hugo with furrowed brows.
Assistant Hurley seemed to understand the situation and delivered a harsh kick to the man’s side. “Mr. Hodges asked you
a question. Speak up!”
In pain, the man quickly replied, “A kid gave it to me… It looked valuable, so I lent him my phone.”
Upon hearing this, Assistant Hurley’s face twisted with anger. “Fool! You’ve risked everything for a trinket. Why did I even
bring you along?” He kicked the man several more times.
The man begged for mercy, “I didn’t know it would turn out like this. I’m sorry, I know I messed up!”
“It’s too late. You know how much the boss values this shipment. We’ll see how he deals with you!”
The man’s eyes widened in fear. “If the boss finds out, I’m done for…”
Assistant Hurley looked at him, his determined gaze tinged with a hint of helplessness. After a moment, he said, “Take
him away.”
“No, please, you must have a way to save me, right? Please…” the man pleaded desperately.
Two people came up and dragged him away.
Hugo watched from the side, a slight smile on his lips. “Assistant Hurley is truly impartial.”
Assistant Hurley turned to him. “Mr. Hodges, I apologize for the misunderstanding earlier. I hope you can help us clear
things up. Your kindness will not be forgotten, and if you ever need my assistance, I will be there without hesitation.”

Hugo glanced at the necklace in his hand, his gaze serious.
After a moment, he spoke, “I’m not one to be overly polite. I’ll remember what you said, Assistant Hurley.”
“Of course!”
Hugo lowered his eyes. “Alright then, I’ll make sure you get an explanation for this matter in the end.”
Assistant Hurley looked at Hugo, maintaining a composed demeanor. “Thank you in advance, Mr. Hodges.”
Hugo looked at the necklace in his hand. “I’ll take this as a clue for now.”
Assistant Hurley nodded. “Mr. Hodges, go ahead.”
Hugo didn’t say another word and simply pocketed the necklace before leaving.
Outside.
Henry was waiting and quickly approached when he saw Hugo come out.
“Boss, if you hadn’t come out soon, the guys were ready to storm in!” he said, giving Hugo a once–over to make sure he
was okay, finally breathing a sigh of relief.
“Boss, what happened? How did the goods just disappear like that?” Henry asked. “Could it be that they didn’t want to
owe us a favor and staged the whole thing?” he speculated.
“No,” Hugo replied. “They wouldn’t need to. Crossing me wouldn’t end well for them. They have no reason to take such a
risk, and they’d still need our help to move the goods from here.”
Henry nodded in agreement. “True, but then who could it be? Stealing those goods means making enemies on both
sides. Who would be bold enough to do that?”
Hugo narrowed his eyes, murmuring, “Yeah, who would be bold enough to do that?”
Maybe, she wasn’t afraid of him at all, which is why she acted so recklessly.
Even though he told himself not to overthink it, the clues right in front of him suggested that there were no such

As Hugo zoned out, Henry glanced at him. Although Hugo hadn’t said a word, it seemed like Henry could see something
in his eyes.
“Boss, are you okay?” Henry asked.
Hugo snapped back to reality, pondering for a few seconds before asking, “Did you check the surveillance near the
docks?”
“I had someone look into it as soon as you went in. There’s nothing there, like it was deliberately erased,” Henry replied.
“Nothing at all?”
“I checked all possible routes, even two hours before the incident. There’s nothing… It must have been a computer
expert,” Henry said.
A computer expert…
Could it be…
No!
It couldn’t be her!
She wouldn’t stoop to such things.
Hugo’s eyes narrowed slightly, his pale face tense and sharp. After a long pause, a meaningful cold smile suddenly
appeared on his lips.
Henry was taken aback, looking at him. “Boss, why are you smiling?”
Hugo lowered his gaze, looking at him. “Oh, it’s nothing. Just thinking this situation is quite interesting…”
Henry was unsure what was amusing, but his mind was focused on the shipment. “Boss, actually, there’s another way…”
Hugo glanced at him. “What way?”

“Since the surveillance was tampered with, it can definitely be restored. Isn’t your soon–to–be wife a computer whiz? You
could ask her for help,” Henry suggested.
Hugo squinted, pondering. It was indeed a good idea.
Most importantly, it could shake things up and maybe reveal something.
Thinking about this, Hugo nodded affirmatively. “It’s definitely a good idea.”
Encouraged, Henry smiled and continued to flaunt his cleverness. “Boss, the best part is, you can use this opportunity to
bond with your soon–to–be wife. Relationships are all about mutual support; the more you rely on each other, the closer
you become. It’s a win–win!”
Henry chuckled as he spoke.
As soon as he finished, Hugo’s gaze fell on him. “Henry, how come your brain isn’t this sharp when it comes to serious
business?”
Henry Fallon started buttering up, “It’s mainly because when it comes to important matters, you’re always there!”
Hugo Hodges raised an eyebrow, “You’ve learned how to flatter now?”
“No way, I’m just speaking the truth!” Henry replied.
Hugo studied him for a moment, “Henry, have you ever thought about changing positions?”
Henry’s ears perked up. Was his flattery that effective? Was he about to get a promotion?
Though thrilled inside, he said, “Boss, I don’t want a promotion. I just want to stay by your side. There’s no position better
than being with you. But if you really think I’m outstanding, you could consider other ways, like a raise or doubling my
year–end bonus. I’m open to that!” Henry said with a smile,
“Are you done?” Hugo asked.
Henry nodded.
“Who said anything about a promotion?”

“I just think the PR department might suit you better. Not going there would be a waste of your talents!” With that, Hugo
bent down and got into the car before Henry could say another word.
Henry stood there stunned for a moment before snapping back to reality. He quickly followed into the car, “Boss, I was
wrong!!!”
