Chapter 364 If I worked hard enough, my child could be as grown–up as you by now.
It was clear that Tara was really upset.
“So, you’re mad just looking at my face?” First asked. “Did my dad do something to annoy you?”
“What do you think?” Tara let out a cold laugh, her eyes narrowing as she practically ground her teeth. “Couldn’t you have
taken after your mom? But no, you had to look just like Hugo Hodges, and it’s infuriating!”
First was speechless. This was turning into a personal attack, which meant something serious must have happened.
“Well, it’s not like I had a choice in the matter!” First said, sitting down in front of her, curious. “What did my dad say?”
Looking at First’s face, which was almost a mirror image of Hugo’s, Tara felt a surge of emotion.
The next moment, she couldn’t resist reaching out and pinching his soft cheeks.
His cheeks were so squishy and pleasant to touch that Tara found it amusing, and she couldn’t stop herself from
kneading them like dough.
However, First’s face scrunched up in protest. “Tara!!!”
He pulled away from her grasp, looking at her with disbelief. “Tara, you-”
“What do you want?” Tara raised an eyebrow, questioning him.
First took a deep breath, “Don’t you know boys and girls shouldn’t be too close?”
Tara couldn’t help but laugh, “You’re just a kid. If I work hard enough, my child could be as big as you!”
First was speechless.
“Don’t look at me like that. You and your dad both annoy me. One before bed and the other first thing in the morning,” Tara said. “You’ve got your dad’s face, so you have to deal with the consequences!”
First thought for a moment and looked at her, “How about I call you Auntie from now on?”

Tara paused, her gaze fixed on him, “What did you say?”

“Didn’t you say if you tried hard enough, you could have a kid my age? So if I don’t call you Auntie, it seems disrespectful.”
Tara narrowed her beautiful eyes, giving him a cold smile, “Alright, try it if you’re not afraid I’ll sew your mouth shut!”
First muttered, “Violence.”
“With you and your dad, I can’t be too nice. It’s got to be fight fire with fire!” Tara said, continuing to eat.
Just then, the servant brought First’s breakfast over. As he ate, he looked at her, “What did my dad say to you anyway?”
“What else could it be? He’s suspicious of me.”
“Suspicious?”
“About what happened yesterday. He must suspect me,” Tara said. “He’s been asking questions all morning, practically
spelling it out for me.”
First thought for a moment and then gave her a friendly smile. “That must be tough for you.”
“It’s not tough. When you’re living under someone else’s roof, it’s expected,” Tara replied, a bit peeved.
First was silent for a moment.
After thinking it over, First spoke up, “How about I do something to make it up to you?”
“What could you possibly do?”
“I could help you track down Nate,” First suggested, raising an eyebrow and studying her.
Tara was momentarily stunned, a flicker of unnoticeable pain crossing her eyes.
She had thought that keeping herself busy would help her forget him, but whenever someone mentioned his name,
everything she had done seemed to vanish instantly…
Lowering her gaze, Tara continued eating. “No need.”

“If he’s determined to avoid me, even if I find him, he won’t see me,” Tara said.
“So, you’re giving up?” First asked.
“What else can I do? Whether I give up or not, it makes no difference,” Tara replied.
First looked at her, “That’s not very Tara Green of you!”
“People change. Instead of wasting time on one guy, why not make more money? Then I can have as many guys as I
want,” Tara said, flashing a small smile to show she meant it.
“Hope you can convince yourself of that,” First replied.
“Of course, that’s exactly how I feel!” Tara insisted.
First nodded, “Alright then, I won’t tell you where he is.”
Tara paused for a moment, trying to act casual as she nibbled on her food, “You’ve found out, huh…”
“Yep! First confirmed.
“So…he…”
“Want to know?”
“No, I don’t! Tara shook her head, though her smile was starting to falter.
Seeing her say one thing but mean another, First smirked slightly and then glanced at his watch, tapping it twice.
Beep beep
Tara’s watch chimed.
Unlike First’s, Tara’s watch was more elegant.
She raised her wrist to look at it, and upon seeing the map displayed, she froze.

“Nate Thorne’s address,” First said.

Tara glanced at the address and then closed it. “Why give me the address? I already said I don’t want it…”
“Fine, just pretend I never gave it to you!” First replied.
She gave him a quick look but didn’t say more, though she felt a mix of emotions inside.
While eating, First looked at her. “By the way, I heard that the Red Mark Base people left Port City today!”
Tara paused, surprise flickering across her delicate features. “They left? Just like that?”
“Yeah,” First nodded.
“They didn’t retaliate but just left?”
“I’m puzzled too,” First pondered.
Tara furrowed her brows, thinking for a moment. “Could there be something wrong with the goods? But I checked, and
there was nothing wrong!”
“The goods can’t be fake. You could tell by how desperately they were protecting them!” First continued, “Maybe
something else came up. Anyway, they left in a hurry.”
Tara nodded. “It’s good they’re gone. Less trouble for us. Anyway, you got what you wanted,” she said with a smile.
“My goal isn’t just about this batch of goods!” First said, looking down while eating. Despite being just a kid, he had an air
of maturity beyond his years.
“Oh? Then what is your goal?” Tara asked.
First smiled slightly, his once clear eyes turning sharp. “My goal, of course, is to conquer the entire underworld!”
Tara let out a cold laugh. “You’re young, but your ambition is quite big.”
“Without ambition, there’s no growth!”
“True, but what do you rely on for this ambition and growth? Just your computer skills? Let me tell you, while your skills

are impressive, they’re far from enough to establish yourself in this world. Ultimately, you need solid tactics.”
“Yes, solid tactics are necessary for survival, like you. But to rule the underworld, you need more than just tactics; you
need brains. Tactics can be learned, but brains, not everyone has them!”
“First!”
