hapter 400 What, are you jealous?
Tara paused for a moment.

She hadn’t expected Second to say something like that. Knowing him for so long, she was well aware of his serious nature–he rarely joked around. Hearing those words from him felt more like a promise.
Initially, she was just teasing First, but seeing Second’s earnest expression now, her heart was overwhelmed with
emotion.
“Are you… serious?” Tara asked, looking at him.
Second nodded, his face sincere. “Yes, I am.”
“Aww,” Tara cooed, reaching out to ruffle his hair. “Second, you’re so wonderful–smart and loyal. If you were a bit older, I’d definitely marry you.”
Second looked at her, unfazed, clearly meaning what he said.
Meanwhile, First couldn’t help but chime in, “Wait, didn’t you say you’d wait for me to grow up?”
“Can’t I change my mind now?”
“Are women always this fickle?” First asked.
Tara smirked, a small smile playing on her lips. “You know, sometimes you have to cut your losses. If you realize your judgment was off, it’s best to switch gears quickly.”
As Tara glanced back at Second, she couldn’t help but admire him more and more.
What a difference compared to First!
First was at a loss for words and looked at her, saying, “…So you’re indirectly saying I’m not good enough?”
“Oh, you caught that?” Tara feigned surprise.
First was speechless.
“It’s rare that you have this kind of awareness. It’s not too late; there’s still hope,” Tara teased.
First took a deep breath, “Women these days, really…”
Just as he was about to say something, Tara shot him a look, and First quickly plastered on a smile, swallowing his
words.
“What were you going to say?”
First shook his head, “Nothing!”
Tara finally smiled in satisfaction and then asked, “What’s the matter? Are you jealous because I praised Second?” she
asked.
“Do you really think that’s possible? There’s no way I’d be jealous over something like that. Besides, you were complimenting my brother; why would I be jealous?”
“Then why are you complaining?”

Chapter 400 What are you soun
“If I didn’t say anything, you’d have no sense of achievement!” First replied.
Tara glanced at him and couldn’t help but say, “So, I should thank you then?”
“No need to be polite!” First smiled.
His smile was eerily similar to Hugo’s.

Tara couldn’t tell if she was just annoyed with Hugo to the point that seeing First made her feel the same way, or if it was just First himself that was getting on her nerves.
Squinting at him, Tara said, “First, you can keep being stubborn, but let’s see how long that lasts.”
First just smiled and said nothing more.
Second watched them from the side, his gaze calm, and simply smiled without speaking.
True friends are never apart, maybe in distance but never in heart.
Having someone like Tara was their good fortune.
The next day.
Early morning.
As Tara was about to leave, she found First and Second already ready and waiting for her in the living room.
Seeing them, Tara walked over. “Why are you guys up so early?”
“Aren’t we meeting that person today?” First asked.
“Yeah…” Tara remembered and then looked at them. “Oh, I forgot to tell you yesterday, I can go by myself. Don’t worry, I’ll bring back the information for you!”
“No!”
“No!”
The two spoke in unison.
Watching them, Tara frowned, “You two sure are in sync now.”
Second looked at her, “Why won’t you let us go?”
“You two are still young. I don’t want you exposed to the public eye too soon. You don’t have the ability to protect yourselves yet. What if someone notices something and things go wrong?” Tara explained.
One was a genius, the other exceptionally talented. She really couldn’t rest easy taking them out!
“We’re just going to ask around, nothing else will happen!” First insisted.
“But what if things get complicated?”
“Just say we’re your brothers; no one will think twice!” Second added.
“But…”

“Tara, we have to go!” First said firmly, his gaze unwavering.

Seeing his determination, Tara knew that if she didn’t take them, they’d find a way to follow.
Thinking about how they managed to come here without Hugo knowing, could Damascus really hold them back?
Even with their high intelligence, they were still like kids in Tara’s eyes, and she couldn’t help but worry.
Instead of leaving them behind, it might be better to take them along.
With that thought, Tara looked at them and said, “Alright, I can take you with me, but you have to follow my lead!”
First nodded immediately, not needing any discussion. “Okay.”
Second nodded as well.
Seeing the two of them, Tara’s eyes showed a hint of resignation. “Let’s go!”
And so, the three of them headed downstairs together.
Outside the hotel, an SUV was parked. As Tara approached, a hotel attendant quickly stepped forward and handed her the keys. “Ms. Green, here are your car keys!”
“Thank you.” Taking the keys, Tara got into the car with swift, confident movements, exuding both charm and authority.
When dealing with others, Tara was practically a legend.
In the car, First and Second sat in the back while Tara drove with a relaxed demeanor.
First glanced around the interior and couldn’t help but ask, “Tara, don’t you usually like flashy sports cars? Why did you
rent an SUV today?”
Tara steered with one hand, her striking face focused on the road ahead. She replied lazily, “My preferences change with
my mood.”
First nodded in agreement, “True, women can be quite unpredictable.”
Tara glanced at him through the rearview mirror, while First raised an eyebrow, always finding a way to turn things in his
favor.
Tara lowered her gaze without a word. The next second, she slammed her foot on the gas pedal, causing the car to lurch
forward. First, caught off guard, nearly toppled over.
Luckily, he grabbed the handle beside him to avoid looking clumsy. He looked up at the person in front of him. “Tara, you did that on purpose!”
