Chapter 407 Hugo Hodges tracked the location of the two little ones.
Reflecting on the past few days, Hugo Hodges realized that those two little rascals had been acting quite oddly. However, he had been so focused on Scarlett that he hadn’t given it much thought.
But now, thinking back, it wasn’t so strange that they had followed him.
To avoid jumping to conclusions, Hugo decided to call Grandpa.
“Grandpa.”
“Oh, so the brat remembers he has a grandpa?” Grandpa’s voice was dripping with sarcasm as soon as he picked up.
“Grandpa, I’ve been a bit busy these days!”
“Yeah, you’re busy. You’re the big shot, and I’m just the idle one,” Grandpa continued.
Hugo pressed his lips together, knowing these were just Grandpa’s words of frustration. He didn’t take the bait and instead asked, “How’s your health?”
“As long as you’re not here to annoy me, I’m perfectly fine!”
Hugo was speechless.
After a few more playful jabs, Grandpa decided to ease up. “Alright, what do you need?”
“Nothing much, just wanted to check on your health.”
“Ha, is the sun rising from the west today? You actually care about my health.”
Hugo was used to Grandpa’s usual tone, so he got straight to the point. “By the way, how are the three little ones? Are they behaving at home?” he asked.
On the other end of the line, the old man sighed, “Fourth went to the film set, and the two little ones went off with Tara
Green to have fun. They’ve been gone for days. With Scarlett on a business trip, all of you have left, leaving just me and Old Adler, two lonely old men… Seems like we need a woman in charge at home to keep you all in line, huh!”
Hearing this, Hugo furrowed his brow. “Are you playing chess with Grandpa Adler?”
“Yes…” the old man replied absentmindedly, then added, “Old Adler, can you make a proper move?”
“Mind your own business!”
“Fine, if that’s how you want to play, don’t blame me for being sneaky. I’ll move here!”
Listening to the busy sounds over the phone, Hugo said, “Well, you keep playing with Grandpa Adler. I have some things to take care of here. I’ll call you back later!”
“Hang up, hang up!” the old man urged from the other end.
After the call ended, Hugo held his phone, his brow deeply furrowed.
When he arrived that day, the two little ones had asked if they could come along. Now it seemed, regardless of what he had answered, they were determined to follow.
He had definitely underestimated these two kids.

Of course.
If they could join the Dark Web, what was this compared to that?
With this thought, Hugo Hodges‘ eyes turned dark and deep. Since they were playing tricks right under his nose, he would
have to take drastic measures.
Putting away his phone, Hugo turned and walked back.
Ray looked at him, “What’s up? Did something happen?”
Hugo considered for a moment, then looked at Ray, “How’s your relationship with the Dark Web lately?”
“The Dark Web?” Ray chuckled at the mention, “How do you think? Out of sight, out of mind. But when we meet, it’s all
tension.”
Hugo’s expression remained calm; Ray’s words were exactly what he expected.
Still, thinking about First’s connection to the Dark Web made him a bit worried.
If the Dark Web found out about First’s relationship with him, who knows what might happen.
Seeing Hugo silent, Ray narrowed his eyes, “What’s going on? Why bring this up suddenly?”
“Nothing, just asking,” Hugo replied.
“Just asking…” Ray scrutinized him, “Are you really the type to just ask? There’s always a reason. Who knows what scheme you’re cooking up now,” Ray teased, knowing Hugo well enough to see through him.
Hugo just smiled quietly, the corners of his lips slightly lifted.
Ray didn’t press further. Adults know when to stop in a conversation; if Hugo didn’t want to talk, Ray wouldn’t ask more.
Just then, Chris spoke up, “I’ve checked the surveillance along the route, but when it reaches this intersection, there’s
nothing.”
Upon hearing Chris’s words, Hugo walked over immediately.
“Mr. Hodges, is the person you’re looking for a computer whiz, or do they have someone skilled helping them?” Chris suddenly asked.
Hugo paused, looking at the computer, and replied nonchalantly, “Why do you ask?”
“To access these cameras, I need to connect to the central network, but it seems like the other party did it effortlessly.”
Ray glanced at Hugo.
“She’s just an ordinary programmer.”
“Then…”
Hugo pointed to a spot on the computer screen. “Is this what you’re talking about?”
Chris’s attention shifted immediately to the computer, nodding, “Yes, every segment of surveillance has a few seconds missing, but at this intersection, there’s nothing. I wanted to check both sides, but coincidentally, the cameras are being upgraded, so they’re temporarily offline, and I can’t find anything!”

“Quite the coincidence, huh?” Hugo asked.
“I heard they’re planning some renovations here, so it’s probably not intentional,” Chris replied.
