Chapter 83 The demeanor of a big shot
Once seated, he adjusted his clothes, looking a bit huffy.
Seeing such a small kid climb into her car, Tara was taken aback.
“Who are you?” she asked.
The kid turned to her, “What do you think?”

“How would I know who you are?” she thought for a moment, considering the only possibility. “Did First send you?”
“…Yeah.”
“Where is he?” Tara instinctively glanced out the window, searching for any sign, but saw nothing suspicious. Her gaze

returned to the little kid in front of her. “Why would he send a kid here?”
The kid was speechless.
Tara’s intelligence, how did she become the leader of an underground organization?
“Been watching too many TV shows?” the kid asked.
Tara frowned.
The kid couldn’t be bothered to explain further and simply showed her something on his phone.
Tara blinked in surprise. “He… he gave you his phone?”
The kid just sighed.
This intelligence…
He didn’t know how to describe it.

Taking a deep breath, the kid spoke, “I’m Dabao.”
Tara was stunned, staring at him for a long moment before adjusting her posture and sarcastically saying, “That’s
ridiculous.”
“First is still using the same old tricks, sending a kid to mess with me now,” Tara Green muttered, looking like she was on
the edge of losing it.
First thought for a moment and asked, “Did you bring your laptop?”
Tara smirked, pulling a laptop from the back seat and plopping it onto his lap. “What, need to prove yourself?”
First didn’t say a word.
He let his actions speak for him.
He opened the laptop and his fingers danced across the keyboard. The screen changed rapidly, too fast for Tara to follow.

Soon enough, Tara’s personal information and photos appeared on the screen.
Seeing this, Tara couldn’t help but blurt out, “Holy crap.”
In the next second, she snatched the laptop from First’s hands, staring at him in disbelief.
First crossed his legs, exuding an air of confidence. “Believe me now?”
Tara steadied herself, placing the laptop behind her. It was hard not to believe him now.
With skills like that, there weren’t many who could match him.
Tara feigned a cough and said, “Yeah, I believe you.”
“Don’t tell Kun about this yet,” First said.
“Why not?” Tara asked.
“Aren’t you surprised or shocked?” First asked.
“It’s more like a horror movie!” Tara said with a wry smile.
Looking at First’s innocent little face, she couldn’t help but ask, “How old are you?”
“Guess.”
Tara paused, “Is this why you’ve been avoiding meeting us?”
First nodded, “That’s one of the reasons.”
“Are there others?”
“Mainly, my mommy doesn’t approve,” First replied.
Mommy…
Tara felt an inexplicable chill.

The genius hacker who shook the cyber world was calling someone “mommy” in such a soft voice…
The thought alone sent shivers down her spine.
But it also made her completely believe that the person in front of her was the “terror” they had always feared would be a
threat if not under their control.
Tara pressed her lips together, unsure of what to say.
“Alright, let’s get to the point,” First said.
Tara looked at him, still a bit confused, “What?”
“The car you saw tampered with in the Hodges Family parking lot was my mommy’s car. I need to find the person
responsible,” First explained.
Tara realized that this was the real reason First had agreed to meet her.
“I’ll drive you there,” Tara said.
First nodded.
Tara hit the brakes and pulled into the Hodges Family Group’s parking lot.
She looked ahead, “Last time, it was right here that the person messed with the car.”
“Did you see how they did it?” First asked.
Tara shook her head, “If I had to guess, I’d say they tampered with the brake line.”
First got out of the car and looked around, spotting a security camera above. He got back in and pulled up the footage.
The person was dressed in all black, with a hat and mask, making it impossible to see their face.
“Does your mom have any enemies?” Tara asked.
First shook his head, “Never heard of any.”

Chapter 83 The demeanor of a big shot
Tara popped a lollipop into her mouth from who knows where, “This wasn’t a spur–of–the–moment thing.”
“Why do you think that?” First questioned.
“First, they had a clear target. Second, you guys neither live here nor work here. The fact that they found this car means
they’ve been following your mom for a while,” Tara explained. “And look around, there are plenty of nice cars. It’s not like
this person just has a thing against red cars, right?”
First listened intently, nodding. Concern had clouded his judgment, and he hadn’t considered this angle.
“And his outfit clearly shows he came prepared,” Tara said. “To find this guy, you’ll need to start by looking into your mom’s circle.”
First saved the video, pondering. “Mom and I just got back from abroad recently. I’ve never heard of her having enemies. She’s not the type to hold grudges or be overly friendly, so I can’t imagine who would want her dead.”
Tara raised an eyebrow. “Well, that’s hard to say. Until we find this person, the truth remains hidden.”
First thought for a long time, staring at the video. From what he could see, the person was male and tall, but that was all.
“If he really is an enemy of Mom, we need to find him quickly, or he might strike again,” First said.
He couldn’t bear to imagine what another attempt might look like.
Would they be as lucky as they were now?
“Actually, finding him isn’t that hard…” Tara said.
“You have a plan?” First asked.
Tara considered it. “I’m not sure if it’ll work, but if he hates your mom enough to want her dead, he won’t give up easily if
she’s still alive. So…”
“So, what now?”
Tara glanced at him. “Can we talk while we eat?”

First looked confused. “Uh.. what?”
“I’ve been running around for you all night without eating. I’m starving.”
First checked the time. It was indeed late, well into the night.
“Alright,” he agreed.
Only then did Tara start the car to find some food.

It was late, and most places were closed, but they found a 24–hour diner and ordered some food.
First ate a bit too. He had been too worried about Scarlett to eat earlier, and now he was genuinely hungry.
Tara looked at the little guy in front of her and couldn’t help but smile.
“What are you smiling at?” First asked.
“Imagine Kun’s face when he finds out First is just a kid. It would be priceless, probably as shocked as I was.”
“That wasn’t shock; that was just dumbfounded.”
Tara was about to retort when First added, “But I’ll definitely capture Kun’s shock, turn it into a GIF, and make it go viral.”
Tara laughed. “That’s brilliant!”
