Chapter 131 Unfixable Grudge
Finished
Because the Lancasters had hyped it up, a lot of people from high society showed up tonight.
Wilson and Lottie couldn’t stop smiling, their faces full of pride.
Ever since Claudia had cut ties with the family after getting close to Sterling, outsiders had kept their distance within these past few months. Lancaster Group lost a bunch of major deals, leaving Wilson, Clarence, and Zane scrambling nonstop.
Now, finally, it felt like they were regaining a little of their old glory.
Even though people doubted Lydia’s character, they had to admit she hadn’t wasted the Lancasters‘ support. No wonder the family treated her even better than Claudia.
At least Lydia had real recognition in her field. She had earned the title of a genius dancer, which made the family look good. Compared to her, Claudia seemed like nothing.
So everyone smiled and pretended to be polite.
When Claudia stepped out of the car, holding Sterling’s arm, heads immediately turned.
Gossip spread fast everywhere.
Weren’t Lydia and Claudia supposed to be enemies? Then why had Ms. Lancaster brought Mr. Romero to cheer her on?
Wilson and Lottie’s eyes lit up.
“Claudia, you came?”
Lottie walked up with a warm smile. She didn’t think Lydia and Claudia had some unfixable grudge.
Sure, Claudia had suffered because of Lydia, but most of it had “reasons” behind it.
Now Lottie had figured things out. Zoey’s death couldn’t be blamed fully on Claudia. Claudia had spent so many years atoning anyway.
From now on, Lottie planned to treat her more fairly and even make it up to her.
Wilson, Clarence, and Zane thought the same. If Claudia let it go, then the whole family could just sweep everything under the rug and go back to looking like a happy, loving household.
“Wonderful. Lydia will be so happy to know you came. She always hoped you could see her on the international stage, carrying on your shared dream.”

What a joke.
Why should my dream be carried on by Lydia?
Wasn’t it because of her that I hurt my leg all those years ago?
And what did they say back then?
Is your leg really more important than Lydia’s mother’s life? She doesn’t even blame you, so why are you blaming her?
And because you argued with Lydia and insisted on going home early, the car accident was all your fault, not hers.
Claudia frowned in disgust.
“Mr. Lancaster, Mrs. Lancaster, please step aside.”
Wilson and Lottie’s smiles froze.
“You don’t even call us Dad and Mom anymore?”
Claudia’s answer was calm. “We’ve already cut ties.”
Zane was about to blow up, but Clarence quickly held him back.
Clarence didn’t push the “Dad and Mom” issue either. He knew her resentment wouldn’t be fixed overnight.
”
“Claudia, you and Mr. Romero don’t have tickets. Let me take
you inside.”
He had noticed earlier that Claudia and Sterling came empty–handed, though Claudia had just taken a bouquet from the driver.
