Chapter 130 All or Nothing
“My phone and laptop were hacked, too. She’s really cautious. Even though I told her I never saved the choreography video, she still didn’t believe me.”
Alice was sure Lydia had gone through everything on her computer.
Luckily, the devices Lydia checked were the ones Claudia had given her on purpose just to lure Lydia in. If Lydia had broken into Alice’s real personal accounts, she would have been finished.
Alice was furious. She couldn’t wait for the day Lydia’s true face was exposed.
She wondered if Lydia had done the same thing to other people before. If some normal girl had her work stolen and then got hurt on top of that, she’d have no way to fight back.
Claudia calmed her down before hanging up the call.
After all these years, Lydia’s tricks hadn’t changed at all.
The only difference was that the last time Lydia plagiarized Claudia, even when Claudia had all the proof, the Lancasters still forgave Lydia after one dramatic crying scene.
They even used Zoey’s death to force Claudia to swallow her anger.
All the evidence had been destroyed right under her family’s watch.
Back then, Claudia had been raised to repent and stay humble. She never guarded herself against her own family, which left her powerless to resist.
But people who rely on shortcuts can’t stay lucky forever.
This time, Lydia was going to pay Claudia back for everything she had suffered.
“Tilda.”
In the theater, Lydia stopped her rival as they passed each other.
“Do you want me to recommend a few dancers to you?”
She smiled sweetly, her voice gentle, just like the elegant lady she pretended to be in public.
But Tilda knew her real face.
The tour was already halfway through, with glowing reviews everywhere. Yet right before the
CHROFICU
master was set to evaluate them, several key backup dancers had slipped up. Even with replacements, they’d need time to rehearse again.
The director had blown up in anger, but it didn’t solve anything.
And the one hurt the most was Tilda, the lead dancer.
She sneered. “I wouldn’t dare use your people. Handle your own mess.”
Lydia kept her smile. “I’m only worried about your show. This is our company’s biggest production, isn’t it? Madam Santiago herself will be watching the next performance. If people realize you can’t carry the lead, it’ll be embarrassing–internationally embarrassing.”
Tilda scoffed. “Only losers think cheap tricks can ruin a performance.”
Thanks to Lydia stirring things up, Tilda had already kicked out the ones who had bad intentions.
The dancers left behind might not be the best, but they were ambitious and determined.
With effort, even the weaker ones could be lifted.
Still, Tilda wasn’t about to just swallow this insult. Not when she had powerful backing now.
After leaving the theater, Tilda dialed the number her mysterious investor had given her.
“She seems really confident about her performance. Can I use her own dirty tricks against her?”
If Lydia managed to catch Florence Santiago’s eye, Tilda would be furious.
“No need,” came the amused voice on the other end. “Since she’s working so hard, why don’t you give her show a little … push?”
