Chapter 144 Arrest Her
Celine looked at her niece in surprise.
She’d thought this troublemaker would just dump everything on her and run. She never expected her to just march in like that.
As for the supposedly injured leg?

She wasn’t worried at all, since she’d watched Alice wrap those bandages around her own leg before leaving the house that morning.
Back then, she’d just assumed Alice was being dramatic for her performance class.
Celine calmed herself, raised an eyebrow, and waited to see what Alice would do next.
Alice pointed directly at Lydia, whose eyes were blazing with anger. Then, she stepped aside and addressed the police officers by her side.
“Officer, she’s the one who hurt me! Arrest her!”
Everyone was stunned.
[I thought something was up! When the pretty girl blocked the door, it was hard to see with the lighting, but you could clearly see the police uniforms on the people behind her!]
[Wait, so Lydia was the one who hurt that girl’s leg? I’m so confused.]
[Wow, where did this plot twist come from? It went from a dance channel to a drama channel, and now it’s straight–up a legal show.]
The reporters were absolutely thrilled.
This was the best scoop they’d had in ages.
They kept snapping photos nonstop; their cameras were practically overheating.
The expressions of the Lancasters, Lydia, and Jasper were all caught on camera–some were confused, some terrified, some just stunned.
Even if Lydia was slow to catch on, she could see that the whole Chasing the Wind saga had been a trap from the start.
As for Alice, she didn’t look even a little bit like an injured victim. She was full of energy and attitude.

Lydia’s eyes were red with rage; she looked like she wanted to tear Alice apart.
She set me up!
Alice folded her arms and gave a cold snort. “You’re the villain here, and you still have the nerve to glare at me?”
She looked over at the audience, who were buzzing with excitement and curiosity, and went straight to the point.
“She was the one sneaking peeks at me dancing that day, and she got rid of the security footage to cover up our meeting. She didn’t want me to show up and report her before her premiere, so she went as far as hiring someone to hit me with a car!”
Celine raised a brow at her words.
She remembered Alice’s fake bandages, and now she heard her accuse Lydia of hiring someone to hurt her.
Her gaze turned icy as she looked at Lydia.
Alice kept going, “But you never expected that I saved the video from the dance studio, and I even found out who you hired to come after me.”
She finished with a triumphant laugh, hands on her hips.
Right then, the big screen on stage started playing a video.
ད
It showed Alice and Lydia, the two characters at the center of the plagiarism scandal, meeting for the first time.
It was clear from the footage that Alice was the one dancing in the studio, and Lydia was watching from outside. Lydia was totally mesmerized by Alice’s dance. It wasn’t the other way around, like Lydia had claimed.
And throughout their conversation, Lydia kept trying to get information out of Alice.
Some of Alice’s more guiding questions had been edited out, leaving only some vague lines behind.
That made it look like all the assumptions about Alice’s background came from Lydia herself.
[So Lydia thought the girl was a nobody, and that’s why she thought she could mess with her)
(That’s wild. Lydia in the video is totally different from her usual public persona.]
[When the girl refused to sell her authorship right, Lydia’s look was downright scary.)
