Chapter 261 Kissing Game

The sweet–smelling human was finally home again. Being stuck with the cold, distant male master hadn’t been any fun at all.

After kisses and hugs from their little family of three, they finally made it into the living room.

In the familiar, warm space, her luggage slid into a corner. Barely a few minutes apart, the two of them were tangled up again.

The couch dipped under their weight, the scent of roses rich and heady. After a long moment, Claudia noticed Daron’s big, bright eyes staring right at them. Face flushed, she patted Sterling’s shoulder. “Get up.”

Sterling pretended not to hear, dragging it out.

It wasn’t until Claudia said she was hungry that he gave her two hard kisses and finally got up.

A smile soft enough for no one else to ever see curved his face. With one arm he scooped up his soft, tempting fiancée from the couch and held her close.

“Come help me out,” he said.

The house had been completely cleaned before she came back, and the kitchen was stocked with fresh ingredients Sterling had bought himself–all her favorites.

For their first meal back together, they both wanted to stay home rather than go out to a

restaurant.

Claudia wriggled free, standing barefoot on the couch.

She pushed at Sterling’s shoulders, turning him around, then bent over his back with a mischievous smile, arms around his neck and legs around his waist. “Let’s gooo! Time to cook!”

Sterling laughed quietly, his hands sliding under her knees as he willingly carried his clingy little passenger into the kitchen.

Vegetables went under the running water one by one, his long fingers gleaming pale against the green. The sight was enough to make her smile.

“Sterling,” Claudia called.

He glanced back from the sink. “Smooch“-she planted a loud kiss on the corner of his upturned lips.

Amused, he made it a game: every time he washed a new vegetable, he turned his head for

another kiss, calling it his “recharge.”

Perched on his back, Claudia smirked. “What are you, a robot?”

He said seriously, “Mm, I’m Claudia’s personal cooking robot.”

“Fine, fine… can’t help you. One more charge, then.”

She pouted and rewarded him with another kiss.

Though their cooking efficiency dropped drastically, neither of them cared–they were completely lost in their new little kissing game, enjoying every second.

But hanging onto someone is a workout. Claudia soon needed to get down.

Sterling couldn’t bear it, so he found her a high stool to sit on while watching. Every time he passed her in the kitchen, he bent down for another quick kiss.

So–called “helping out” didn’t require Claudia to lift a finger, but she was the perfect little charger for him.

Maybe they were genuinely hungry, or maybe just in a good mood–the four dishes and a soup on the table were gone in no time, devoured by the two of them and their dog.

Full and satisfied, Claudia leaned against him, not wanting to move.

Sterling reached over to rub her soft belly. “Gotta save your energy for later.”

“Sleepy?” he asked.

She shook her head, wide awake and full of energy.

“Shower first, then?” he suggested.

Sensing the implication, Claudia sat up sharply, alert. “Oh! I almost forgot … we haven’t walked Daron today.”

Sterling caught her hand, his dark eyes intense. “Walked.”
