Sterling had gotten used to bringing Claudia to his office. Lately, he has asked her every single day to come along.
The office was slowly filling up with all kinds of random things–pillows, blankets, water bottles, stuffed animals, paintbrushes–none of it matched, but nobody cared.
The executives at Romero Corp noticed one thing; Sterling was much happier than usual. Even when someone made mistakes, he didn’t yell as much as he usually did.
Once everyone realized this, they hurried to show their work whenever Claudia was around.
And business secrets?
Ha! Sterling was practically giving her everything he had. Did they even need to hide anything anymore?
Time passed quickly, and soon it was Donovan’s birthday party.
By coincidence, Lottie’s birthday party was on the same day.
Luckily, the two families are at totally different social levels, so there wouldn’t be much overlap in guests.
Claudia, still half–asleep, was pulled out of bed by Sterling to get ready. He kissed her eyelids gently, looking worried. “Do you want to skip it? You can sleep a little longer.”
Honestly, even if she went in pajamas and slippers, no one would say anything.
Claudia looked cute and beautiful, even with messy hair and sleepy eyes.
Sterling leaned over and kissed her lips again.
Claudia pouted and glared at him. “If you hadn’t kept me up last night, I wouldn’t be this tired! I told you today was busy, but you didn’t listen.”
Sterling lowered his head and acted sorry. “I’m sorry, Baby. My fault.”
But really, she had been too tempting last night–no guy could resist.
Donovan’s birthday party was nothing compared to spending time alone with her.

Lisa was back to do Claudia’s hair and makeup. By now, her team was used to seeing Sterling being scolded and bossed around by Claudia.
Everyone just ignored the talking and went back to their work.
Finally, Lisa put the precious emerald necklace around Claudia’s neck. She stepped back and looked at the beautiful woman in the emerald gown. “All done!” she said.
If every client looked like Claudia, she would be excited to come to work every single day.
Who wouldn’t love such a sweet, soft, and gorgeous woman?
Sterling stood behind Claudia, watching her reflection in the full–length mirror. He really meant it when he said, “You look beautiful.”
But Claudia looked at the three of them–herself, Sterling, and Lisa–and suddenly felt a strange sense of déjà vu.
She laughed out loud.
“Remember what you said the first time we went to the Romero Manor?” she asked.
Funny enough, the Lancasters were having a birthday party on the same day, too.
Sterling smiled back at her as his eyes met hers in the mirror.
“Of course I remember,” he said
He took her hand. “Let’s let everyone see us excited having a blast and leaves happy.”
They smiled at each other.
