Chapter 339 Kidnapped
F:
The man had already taken down several of their men earlier.
If he had not grabbed the woman during the chaos at the ball, he would probably be dead by
now.
Sterling’s eyes were like a dark abyss, filled with a chilling menace that made it clear–if he caught the guy, he would grind him to dust without hesitation.
“Sterling.” In the most dangerous moment, Claudia was the calmest one there.
She softly called his name.
Sterling did not even have time to react.
The next second, Claudia suddenly snapped her head back, slamming into the kidnapper’s chin and knocking him off balance.
He panicked as his back met empty air, dropping the knife and reaching out instinctively for the railing–but the lower height on that side gave him nothing to grab.
With a splash, the kidnapper hit the sea.
Claudia, who had toppled over the railing too, was yanked back just in time by a pair of strong, veined hands that pulled her straight into Sterling’s arms.
Her eyes sparkled. “I knew you’d catch me.”
Sterling’s face, however, showed no trace of relief. His expression was taut, laced with fear and fury. “Claudia, who told you to take that risk?”
What if he had been one second late?
Claudia blinked, innocent. “Then you’d just fish me out of the sea, wouldn’t you?”
Sterling rolled his eyes.
Mandy, who had caught the last few seconds of the scene, was utterly dumbfounded.
She did not know whether to admire Claudia’s blind faith in Sterling or be stunned by her guts.
Either way, Mandy knew she could never put her life in someone else’s hands like that.

Chapter 339 Kidnapped
Sterling, who had faced countless dangers before without flinching, felt something new this time fear. He tightened his arms around her.
In that instant, he realized that while he could always risk his own life without a second thought, he could not bear the slightest danger when it came to Claudia.
His unease seeped through his embrace, and Claudia could feel it.
She patted his back lightly, her tone soft. “See? Just like how you don’t want me to get hurt. 1 don’t want you to get hurt either. If I hadn’t moved, you would’ve done something reckless to make him drop his guard, right?”
When he was alone, Sterling could be unstoppable, fearless.
But with her, he would rather choose the safest, clumsiest way.
“I don’t want you hurt, you hear me?” Claudia whispered.
Sterling said nothing, just held her tighter.
When both had finally calmed down, Mandy stepped forward with a sigh. “Were you two the target?”
Claudia shook her head. “I’m not sure.”
She looked at Mandy. “But there are more of them. Mandy, I think there’s another group on this ship that you don’t know about.”
Mandy’s expression changed instantly.
