Chapter 341 Taking Down the Intruders
Sterling slipped his hands into his pockets and lifted his chin slightly. “Go ahead, try
“Don’t! Help! Ah!” The kidnapper’s scream tore through the air.
Claudia awkwardly pulled her hand back. “Oops, sorry, guess I’m still a bit rusty”
She had only learned basic self–defense and kickboxing. What Sterling taught her was meant to kill, not to scare. Of course, she was not used to that.
The kidnapper, who had just been apologized to for being beaten half to death, thought to himself, Thanks? I guess?
And then…
“Ah!” Another sharp cry followed as pain shot through his leg.
He passed out cold. Claudia frowned. “Ugh, I didn’t mean to knock him out again.”
Sterling did not even blink. “You’ll get better with practice.”
He crouched down, wiped her hands clean, and helped her up. “Come on, let’s head for the cockpit.”
Ignoring the limp hand blocking his way, Sterling stepped right over it without hesitation.
Anyone who dared lay a finger on Claudia was signing up for hell, and this little warm–up was only the beginning.
Inside the control room, another kidnapper held a phone to his ear. “Hello? Hello? Say something, damn it!”
Frowning, he gripped the steering wheel tighter.
What’s wrong with everyone? They are so weird today. Didn’t they know better than to pull pranks mid- operation?
He never even suspected that something had gone wrong.
With the sloppy security the event organizers had arranged, he and his men–battle–hardened as they were–should have taken over without breaking a sweat.
He thought of how much money the boss had promised after this job and let out an excited

Thump! Thump! Thump! He heard muffled movements from the corner.

He smirked. “Gotta thank you, princess, for showing us the way. Otherwise, we might’ve had a harder time finding our target. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure to treat you real nice later.”
He glanced at the terrified girl tied up nearby, enjoying her fear for a second, before turning his focus back to the monitor and redirecting the ship.
“Mm!”
The next moment, right when he thought he was almost home free, his body went limp, collapsing over the wheel.
Sterling had already walked in and yanked him aside like he was trash, then started the controls again, steering the yacht with practiced ease.
Meanwhile, Claudia stood by the door, twirling a baseball bat she had just taken from one of the kidnappers, keeping her eyes on the corridor outside.
They worked together seamlessly. Just then, something rolled out from the corner. It was a person tied up like a ball, gagged, and squirming weakly.
Claudia blinked in surprise and quickly went over to untie her. The next second, she froze.
“Kamila?” Her brows shot up.
Kamila’s eyes went wide when she saw Sterling at the wheel and Claudia completely unharmed. Her pupils shrank in shock.
Back at the ballroom, the lights flickered back on.
Gabriel, who had been running out of ways to keep the guests occupied, finally let out a huge sigh of relief.
He slid up beside his tense cousin. “Hey, is it over?”
He had only come to this party to eat and drink–never expected to end up in a full–blown thriller. Honestly, this might be the highlight of his life.
Mandy shot him a sharp look. “Give it 15 more minutes. One of them got away.”
