Chapter 175 A Trip to Sinoria
His voice was low. “What are you going there for?”
Natalie paused for a moment. “I’m going to Sinoria.”
“To do what?” Marcus’s brow furrowed in confusion.
“To see someone about something important,” she said directly.
He nodded slowly and released her, saying nothing more. Natalie opened the car door and walked back toward the clinic.
Marcus raised the partition in the car and looked at the driver. “Aren’t we also going to Sinoria tomorrow?”
James nodded. “Yes, sir. There’s a project launch, and you need to be there for the ribbon- cutting ceremony. We have to arrive before eleven in the morning.”
“Have someone keep an eye on Natalie. Find out who she’s meeting in Sinoria and what she’s doing.” The man’s voice was soft, betraying no emotion.
“Right away.”
That night, at the Hayes family home.
Zoey handed her phone to Victoria. “My informant just said that Natalie bought a high–speed rail ticket to Sinoria for eight o’clock tomorrow morning.”
Victoria, who had been scrolling through online comments, looked up sharply. “What is she going to Sinoria for?”
“It’s not clear. She’ll arrive at ten and has a return ticket for the afternoon of the day after tomorrow,” Zoey said, her voice low. “She must be going for a reason.”
Victoria’s hand, holding the phone, tightened. After a moment, she said, “In that case, let’s make sure she never comes back.”
Zoey was shocked. “Are you really going that far?”
