She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 146

All they could do now was pray the bodyguard’s car door would open.

Sabrina gritted her teeth, summoned every ounce of strength, and yanked the handle.

Thank God.

The door flew open.

Without wasting a second, both of them dove inside and slammed the doors shut, locking them in one quick motion.

The car behind was still hot on their heels.

It wasn’t until Bryce was securely inside that he realized they’d taken the wrong seats—he was in the driver’s seat, but he didn’t even know how to drive. He was just a college student, for crying out loud.

“Hold on tight!” he started to suggest they switch, but Sabrina’s voice cut him off.

Before Bryce could react, the car shot forward like a bullet.

“Holy hell! Are you insane?” Bryce blurted, white-knuckled as the car tore down the road at breakneck speed.

This was insane—no different than a suicide mission.

The enemy car was gaining on them.

Bryce shot a glance over his shoulder, rage bubbling up. “Who the hell are these bastards? I swear, I’ll make them pay!”

The night had turned into a heart-pounding, high-stakes game of cat and mouse.

Suddenly, one of the cars behind them accelerated, closing in fast.

With a roar, it slammed into their rear bumper.

The collision echoed sharply in the darkness, metal screeching against metal.

The violent jolt threw both of them sideways. They clung to their seats, barely kept in place by their seatbelts.

Thank God they’d buckled up—otherwise, that hit would have sent them flying through the windows.

“They’re trying to run us off the road!” Bryce was reeling, stunned by the sheer audacity of their pursuers.

Sabrina didn’t answer; her focus narrowed to a razor’s edge as she wove frantically through the lanes.
