She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 160

Elena slumped over the desk, looking utterly drained, her eyes brimming with tears.

“Sabrina is just awful. She hit me, and I didn’t even dare tell my dad when I got home. I was so ashamed… I just couldn’t.” Her voice cracked as she sobbed.

Uliana was quick to comfort her. “I never thought she’d go this far—not just hitting you, but making you apologize too. This is out of line.”

They all knew the deadline: if Elena didn’t apologize by tomorrow, Sabrina would come after her again.

Tiffany frowned, her face ashen. She and the others had all been involved from the start; Elena had only become the scapegoat. What Sabrina was doing was an attack on all of them.

“What did we even do wrong?” Tiffany muttered. “She won’t even admit what she did. Giselle’s her closest friend—if anyone should be in trouble, it’s her, not us. Sabrina’s just looking for someone to blame.”

Uliana let out a heavy sigh. “Word is, Giselle got roughed up too. Sabrina found her last night—hit her and made her pay for ‘emotional damages.’ Pretty much the same treatment as Elena.”

Celine, who’d been quiet until now, clenched her fists and slammed one onto the desk. “This is too much. Don’t worry, I’ll talk to her myself. She’s really mad at me, not you. You guys just got caught in the crossfire.”

The other three were so moved by Celine’s loyalty that they gripped her hands, begging her not to go. But at a moment like this, Celine knew she had to step up.

She was already at the center of the storm—maybe if she took a stand, she could salvage her reputation. More importantly, she wanted Elena and the others to know she was someone who stood by her friends, no matter what. It would make them even more loyal to her in the future.

With that resolve, her eyes grew steely. “Don’t worry. Right is right, wrong is wrong. After class, I’ll go talk to her.”

Last night, she’d almost told her mom about everything. But then she thought of Elena’s reputation—Elena had begged her not to say anything. So they’d agreed to try and handle things quietly on their own.
