She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 302

“This sudden illness of mine—it can’t be a coincidence. Someone did this,” Octavia said, her voice low. “The Sutton family really is more complicated than I thought.”

Only then did Marina’s words click into place for Sabrina. What everyone else could see so clearly had been hidden right in front of her.

Marina let out a heavy sigh. “It’s my fault. I should’ve asked more people to keep an eye on Octavia. If I had, none of this would have happened. Sabrina, I promise you, I won’t let anyone hurt her again.”

“It’s not your fault,” Sabrina reassured her. “People with bad intentions are always hard to guard against. Thank you, Marina. With you here, I feel at ease.”

“Taking care of Octavia is the least I can do,” Marina replied. “As long as she gets better, it’s all worth it.”

As the two women talked, Octavia lay motionless in bed, her gaze unwavering. She would never let Hester get away with this. She had to recover—fast.

Hester had come by several times already, each visit just an excuse to check on Octavia’s condition. But Marina was nothing if not vigilant. She stayed with Octavia around the clock, never leaving her side, and delegated even the smallest tasks to the nursing staff so that no one else could get close.

Even when Desmond stopped by the hospital, Marina remained in the room, never leaving Octavia alone for a second.

Just to be safe, Stella spent her nights in the hotel next to the hospital, ready to rush over if anything happened after dark.

The only ones who knew Octavia would be able to speak by the next day were Sabrina and Marina. No one else had a clue.

That night, Octavia was finally able to take off her oxygen mask. She still couldn’t speak, but Stella’s skill with acupuncture was remarkable. As long as Stella was around, Sabrina could finally breathe easy.

While Sabrina and Stella kept watch in the hospital room, Marina ran home to make a pot of chicken soup, hoping it would help Octavia regain her strength.

“Octavia, I’ve been simmering this soup for two hours. Try a little, okay?”

Octavia blinked in agreement, and the look of joy on Marina’s face was unmistakable. Octavia had barely eaten in two days, and even just a little warm soup would help settle her stomach. If Octavia was willing to drink it, Marina would happily make soup for her every day.
