Octavia repeated Hester’s words, every single sentence, exactly as she’d heard them.
Marina and Stella stared at her in shock, unable to believe what they were hearing. Only Sabrina seemed unfazed.
Was Hester even human? How could someone be so cruel?
Octavia’s retelling dropped four bombshells, each more devastating than the last.
Hester had tried to murder Octavia.
She’d plotted against Sabrina and Desmond as well.
She was Sommer Lynn’s biological daughter.
And she’d killed Wallace Sutton.
“Grandma, are you saying Hester kidnapped Uncle Wallace—and killed him?” Sabrina asked, her voice tight.
Octavia’s revelations were shocking, but Sabrina cared most about whether Hester had really killed Wallace.
At the mention of her youngest son, Octavia’s tears spilled over.
“She said so herself. Wallace is already—” Octavia choked up and couldn’t finish.
“Wait a second,” Sabrina interrupted. “Let me call Uncle Wallace.”
She pulled out her phone and dialed Wallace’s number. She needed proof—one way or another.
If Hester had known ahead of time that Sabrina’s flight would crash, there was no way this Glenwood trip was just a coincidence.
Could Hester have teamed up with Hector Watson?
On her own, Hester wouldn’t have the resources to sabotage a plane.
Desmond’s business with the Watson family had been going smoothly. For their return, Kaden Watson had even arranged a private jet.
But Sabrina had noticed something odd about the pilot before boarding—just a fleeting glance, but his eyes were cold and contemptuous, like he was looking at a dead person already. Disdain. Smugness.
If someone wanted to kill her on the plane, the simplest way was to bring down the jet.
Her first thought was Hector.
So, just before takeoff, Sabrina made up an excuse and refused to board the Watsons’ private plane.
Desmond was furious, scolding her the whole time.
“If you want to refuse, fine, but I’m going!” he snapped.
