Amelia's pov
Her voice was like a blade, sharper than a knife as it slices through the air that grew thick with tension. She stops just a few steps ahead, her body stiffening with fury as she pins her vexed gaze on me.
Raiden's gaze never left mine and for a moment I thought he hadn't heard her approach and stop, however, the next words that washed through the room did not come out of my mouth but his.
" Apologize to her," his words and tone did not leave anything to argue, however, it had both Dayna and me confused since we did not know which one he was demanding to apologize. Not that I would when I did not utter or word nor would I let him tell me what to do.
His eyes move from mine reluctantly to look at her and the flick of irritation swirling in them when they land on her made my lips twitch. Furrowing my brows at the audacity to feel cocky, I frowned.
Why did I like that? Why do I care?
" Apologize," his words are blunt and sharp, leaving no room to dispute. The dominant tone and the power that somehow reeked through Raiden's pores at that very moment was overwhelming even for me.
Dayna's body shook in a way that was concerning, her eyes gleaming an odd color that I believe was a dull reflection of the light drawing from the windows. Her jaw tense and untense, her eyes not leaving Raiden's until she grinds out words that came out reluctant.
" Sorry," she grits out, her teeth makes a very cringy sound that irritates my bones.
I glared at him, seething. " I didn't need you to force her to apologize to me," the sleek arch of his brow raising up annoyed me even more. Damn him. Damn you Raiden.
He crossed his arms over his chest and turn to face me fully, a little tilt of the corner of his lips tells me that he was amused by my outburst.
" I don't get it!" Dayna's loud snarl shrills through the room violently. " Why are you making me apologize to her when-
" Because she's mine!" Raiden snarls so loud the grittiness of his tone runs through the room like a tornado.
