She's Mine To Claim: Mr. Alpha, Can You Kiss Me More? novel Chapter 51

Amelia's pov

The air tensed and my heart jams against my chest hard while my mind race as I try to process his words.

Dayna's eyes widen, the ghost of hurt in her gaze as she looks at him in disbelief. But she wasn't the only one. Mostly everyone stared at Raiden as if he had grown a second head on his broad shoulders.

The room was filled with stunned silence, silence that also captured me.

" What?" the words struck in a low disbelief spat, her lips curling back into a disgusted snarl. "What do you mean she's yours?" I do notice the way her eyes gleam with a tinge of pink which lets me know she was emotional.

Raiden's expression remains unwavered, his eyes on me intensely making me shift on my feet. I hated that he affected me this much, especially his words. I should be furious! Hate that he basically claimed me in front of everyone.

I try to channel the anger, try to channel the resentment but my heart beats for something other than hatred and.....

My eyes flick over to Pickett who stood there staring at me with a ghost of a glare of disappointment and that beating heart drops in my stomach hard. I swallowed, turning back to Raiden and pin him with an angry stare.

Such a stare that embarrassingly took too much willpower to even make it look real. " I am not yours!" I snap, pointing a furious finger at his chest.

His eyes, so pure and so warmly teasing drop to stare at the accusing finger in amusement. That finger begins to tremble. I bite into my cheek until it stings.

Oh Amelia....what have you let this boy do to you? Since when have you become this....

My nails bit into my palm and I grow frustrated when my eyes land on Pickett once more then I they land on Foster and when that disappointed look crosses his eyes my stomach turns.

" I am not his!" I yell out, ashamed that my voice shook a bit but I keep my stance poised and pin Raiden down with a hard stare of my own.

He does not blink, nor does he look surprise by my dominance. " You don't get to tell anyone, especially me what to do!" I snapped and those words seem to flicker that mirth in his gaze that further grinds my irritation.

My face is flushed as I snapped. " I am not an object and I do not belong to anyone! Keep the fuck away from me." I turn around to pick up my lunch tray, throwing it in the trash as I ignored everyone's stares before storming out of the cafeteria.

I wish I hadn't.
