Amelia's pov
The cafeteria was safer. I should have known that. I should have also known that Raiden wouldn't have let me go this easily, especially since I had denied him in front of everyone.
Though he did not look embarrassed and had only looked the opposite, I am certain he did not like that I told him off basically in front of the entire school. I stormed out of the school, breathing in the scent of fresh air after being stuffed inside there.
The slightly cool breeze was a welcoming relief after what transpired and I began to walk briskly away from the school, my steps fueled by the frustration and anger I had because of what Raiden had stirred with his words.
But as I walk further onto the driveway of the school, I can't help but still feel the heavy weight of his gaze on me, the intensity of it all, his words...... just the way his body felt against mine when he pulled me flush against him.
My cheeks felt hot and I cleared my throat.
" I'm in your head,"
My brows furrowed. The voice smooth and husky was too familiar. Was it in my head? Was I being haunted by his voice too?
As my eyes drop to the concrete I see it, well his shadow. My heart jumps in my throat and I stop. He presses against me, his body hard and dominating just as it had been in the cafeteria a few moments ago.
My breath hitches when his warm body presses against my back.
He followed after me.
How had I not heard him?
" Why did you follow me?"
He presses harder against me. " You have this way of getting under my skin," his fingers brush against my arm, making me swallow. " I thought the feeling would leave," his voice grow hoarse.
" But it has only gotten far worse," he confessed.
" Well that doesn't sound very pleasing," I breathed out, trying to be sarcastic but it came out wanton. " It sounds like I irritate you. Perhaps it's a call to leave me alone."
He snorts lightly, a soft chuckle that did unexplainable things to my body. " You are irritating," he chuckles. " But that only makes me want you more," his arm suddenly swooped around me and lifts me over his shoulder in one go.
