The sudden formality caught Sunny off guard; she still wasn't used to it.
"It's... really not that much trouble," she said, a bit awkwardly.
But this place was definitely not somewhere she could stay any longer.
"I'm heading out," she announced.
Stellan watched her hurry away, his gaze darkening.
He'd come on too strong, clearly. She'd been so startled her face had gone pale.
He glanced down at his own perfectly sculpted abs. Was she really not tempted? Didn't she want to at least see for herself before leaving?
—
Sitting alone in her car, Sunny felt restless and uneasy.
Everything that had just happened at his villa had crossed a line—one that shouldn't have been crossed between the two of them.
How had she ended up crying on his shoulder? How had her clothes come off, just like that?
The whole thing had spiraled out of control, leaving her on edge.
"Remember, he's your best friend's Uncle Stellan," she muttered under her breath. "He's just someone you're relying on for now, nothing more."
She was both reminding and warning herself—not to get in too deep, or she might never get out.

The next day, Sunny was back to her usual sharp, composed self.
She'd barely arrived at her law firm when she got an unexpected call.
"Sunny, did you just get to work?"
Jerry nodded. "Sure. This first one, ‘Fourteen Bridges,' I wrote at the end of 2022. Both lyrics and melody are mine. I was already past my prime by then, so the song never became a hit."
The music was rich with classical elements, a little niche but undeniably beautiful.
"It's really lovely," Sunny said, genuinely.
"Thank you."
Jerry scrolled through his phone and played the other track—a female singer this time.
Listening closely, there were definite similarities in the verse, chorus, even the bridge.
But copyright cases like this were always tricky. Plagiarism could be hard to prove.
"I've listened to both. There are, indeed, some overlapping parts. Who's the singer on the second track?"
Jerry hesitated, then answered, "She's a newcomer, goes by Luna. SkyVault Entertainment's newest rising star."
