Stand Me Up? I'll Marry His Billionaire Uncle novel Chapter 167

Abbot's smile faded a little. "Alright then, go get it done. Your Uncle Stellan did it, so you two should go as well."

Luna's hopeful eyes fixed on Tristan. The thing that weighed on her most was how he kept putting off getting their marriage license.

Tristan pressed his lips into a flat line. "Yeah, I know. There's something I need to handle at work tomorrow. We'll go first thing the day after."

Just moments ago, Luna had looked so frail she could barely take care of herself, but now her cheeks flushed with color. "Really, Tristan?"

He looked at his little sister, the one he'd spoiled since childhood, and saw nothing but adoration shining in her bright eyes. He could only swallow the bitterness that rose in his chest.

"Really. Sorry for making you wait."

Zara rolled her eyes so hard it was a wonder they didn't get stuck.

Oh please, spare me your lovey-dovey drama!

"Grandpa, my phone broke. I'm heading out to get it fixed. Won't be home for dinner," Zara said with a wave.

She said she was off to fix her phone, but really, she was planning to hit up Uncle Stellan for some cash—after all, he'd stolen her best friend away!

Abbot didn't notice anything strange. "Go on, go on. No need to fix it, just get a new one."

Zara scoffed. "No way. I've got too many treasures on this phone."

Sunny had just finished packing two suitcases when she called out to the man lounging on the couch, "Alright, I'm ready."

Stellan eyed her skeptically, arching an eyebrow. "That's it?"

"Uncle Stellan, there's no way I could pack everything in one go. We'll have to move things little by little."

But privately, Sunny was thinking: If things ever go south between us, it'll be a lot less trouble moving back.

Stellan didn't give her a chance to dwell on those thoughts. "No worries, we'll get it all done today. I just called a moving company. They're sending ten guys over to help. Don't worry—they'll organize everything for you and move it all without a scratch."

Sunny exhaled softly, resigning herself. "Alright. Let's go."

When Reed and the movers finished arranging her things in the new place, the entire second floor suddenly felt more colorful, more alive.

Zara peeked around the corner, watching the movers coming and going from Uncle Stellan's house, then crept upstairs herself.

"Reed, is Uncle Stellan renovating or something?"

But before she got an answer, she spotted two figures standing side by side across the hall.

The man, usually so cold and unapproachable, stood with his back to the light, head slightly bowed, and for a brief moment, Zara glimpsed a rare tenderness in his expression.

The woman beside him, hair cascading over her shoulders, her cheeks flushed a rosy pink, looked every bit as sweet and soft as a ripe peach.

It was just a simple exchange of glances, but Zara could practically see sparks flying between them.

Oh wow, she thought, unexpectedly smitten herself.
